If Alza require how many meter for rear?
Original is 5m right?
*
5m should be enough unless you DIY until very neatly under all the plastics. Then maybe not long enough.

nope. .just normal ciggy outlet
*
Should be able to power on if you use the USB car charger in the ciggie port.

Do you have another USB car charger to test with?

Hi, newbie to dashcam here....just got it FOC from car dealer

May I ask what is the reasonable microSD storage size for dashcam?

Thanks. Is 64Gb sufficient? Or overkill? Thanks
*
Depends on you. You can get a 32GB or a 64GB is good enough but don't use Sandisk Ultra.

Mijia 1 was good.. but never try 70mai pro.. it looks bulky tho
*
70mai Pro is not that bulky. It's more discreet design than the Mijia 1S.

Anyway both from same manufacturer - Mi

Sorry for dumb question, 32GB will roughly last how long. How about 64GB? Why no Sandisk Ultra? Kingston ok?
*
32GB about 3+- hours of videos. 64GB will be about 6+- hours. Depends on the video resolution, bit rate, etc.

Sandisk Ultra is known to die very fast (less than 1 year) when used in dashcams.

QUOTE(legendaryNOKIA @ Nov 19 2018, 11:53 AM)
Which 1 u would recommend
*
I don't have the new Mijia 1S to test so I'm not really sure if it will be better than the 70mai Pro or not.

QUOTE(abonglowyat @ Nov 19 2018, 12:35 PM)
yup got other. .tested with it still same result
*
Maybe you need to check back with the seller you bought the dashcam from.

Yeah.. Beggar can't be chooser.. I doubt it's RM1xx, cuz that's Yi cams territory already. But it's okay.. Use first as testing bed. Hope it lasts.

I actually want to see it... Wonder he can take a picture of it and post here...

Wow....6+ plus, mean say average per day, say 2 hours on road, within 3 days will full, can't even last 1 week. Let me check again the dashcam manual (got it free when bought the car,  biggrin.gif ) The SA told me won't overwrite, need to manually remove and clear when full, mean every few days need to take out and delete  doh.gif

And, thanks for the heads up on Sandisk Ultra, nearly bought at Lazada, but, still want survey. I thought their brand very strong, market leader for SD card, and even more expensive than Kingston. Kingston ok?
*
Sandisk Ultra is actually their low range of cards. Meant for storage and not for use in dashcams.

Extreme series or High Endurance series can be used in dashcams but not cheap.

You can look at Samsung Evo Plus.

Ok, ok.....will test it out first. First time using dash cam.... biggrin.gif
Ok, ok....later go home I take photo try post here. Have not install it yet, coz the tint company say better don't put on windscreen in order not damage the tint. Thinking what alternative I got. Maybe put another layer of sticker, like those road tax sticker before put the dash cam suction cup.
Sorry, sorry...see wrongly. I look at SanDisk Extreme 64GB...RM79 at Lazada

this one
*
Suction cup? Another layer of tint won't help much. Only those using tape mount will benefit from the extra layer.

You want to use Sandisk Extreme on a cheapo dashcam? sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Err...then, when u propose not to damage the tint ah.....the tint is bit expensive, therefore, if possible, mau protect it from damage.

And, I am actually clueless on SD card, any recommendation? Reasonable one will do lah......not too cheap until spoil within 1 year time  laugh.gif Kingston ok mou? RM55 for 64GB. Or, got something even cheaper but fall within my requirement 1-2 years durability....best if 5 years  laugh.gif
*
Think you better wait a week before use the suction cup on your tint.

Look for Samsung Evo Plus microSD cards.

I just got myself a Mini 0906, the cigarette port doesn't turn off even after I have switch off the engine for a long time. The dashcam continues to operate.
The cigarette port will cut off the power only after around 5 minutes after I lock the car.
I'm afraid all these things will drain my car battery.

Is this my car problem or it's the dashcam problem?
Btw, my car is Serena Hybrid 2018
*
I think it's your Serena's ciggie port. Nothing wrong with it. Should be designed like this by Nissan.

5 minutes won't full drain your car battery.

I’ve an issue here. I tried tapping into several fuse but the problem comes when my car’s idle auto start stop kicks in. Everytime when my engine restart after the traffic light, the camera will flicker and the camera restarts.

Anyone has this issue and how did u overcome it?

Edit: when I plug into ciggy port, it works perfectly.
*
That's the cons of the start stop in modern cars using hardwired dashcams.

You can use a iron phosphate rechargeable battery to power the dashcam. The battery will be direct hardwired to the fuse for power.

There's another way but I can't really remember what is it.

Thanks for sharing your experience.. Helps others in similar situations to know what to expect. How about a compromise, give up the istop feature by permanently disabling it? Can be done via software hack.
*
I know Thinkware Malaysia have a workaround for this start-stop for BMW... Not sure if works for Mazda or not...

Not bad, viofo a129 record inside very clear but need street light.
What factor it records clearly? Night vision function? Resolution? Lens?

Later gonna try to use the rear to record inside see clear or not.
Or else thinking to buy another dashcam or action cam
Action cam can loop recording and auto erase when full?
*
Recording inside the cabin at night requires infrared camera as there is no light in the cabin when at night.

The A129 Duo is meant to record outside of the vehicle more.

I know.. i tried the infrared cam, not clear.
Dashcam better. With the help of outside street light.

Got different resolution in infrared camera laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

If you want to record inside cabin for cheap, can use Yi home cam just to record inside cabin.

Anyone knows the CPL filter for A118 works?
The reflection of my dashboard significantly affect my dashcam video. Need a CPL filter to reduce it.
Lastly, where can I buy the CPL filter? I've browse through lazada it's around RM50, reasonable?
*

Nope. I mean is it already available in Malaysia? local seller.

Should be soon as some is taking later batches.

Even my sample unit is not yet here.

There is also an infrared camera for internal cabin recording for A129 Duo.
