hi guys,

i just bought Yi Mini Dashcam and installed it on my own.
however, the camera seems wont turn on when i start my car.
its just showing a red light on the dashcam.

when i try it on the normal usb socket/power plug, no issue what so over
so im confuse whether the camera is the problem or my o/p cigar volt/current are not meeting the requirement?

any of the sifus here have these kind of experiece?

Yeah.. Beggar can't be chooser.. I doubt it's RM1xx, cuz that's Yi cams territory already. But it's okay.. Use first as testing bed. Hope it lasts.

Wow....6+ plus, mean say average per day, say 2 hours on road, within 3 days will full, can't even last 1 week. Let me check again the dashcam manual (got it free when bought the car,  ) The SA told me won't overwrite, need to manually remove and clear when full, mean every few days need to take out and delete

Ok, ok....later go home I take photo try post here. Have not install it yet, coz the tint company say better don't put on windscreen in order not damage the tint. Thinking what alternative I got. Maybe put another layer of sticker, like those road tax sticker before put the dash cam suction cup.

Err...then, when u propose not to damage the tint ah.....the tint is bit expensive, therefore, if possible, mau protect it from damage.

And, I am actually clueless on SD card, any recommendation? Reasonable one will do lah......not too cheap until spoil within 1 year time  Kingston ok mou? RM55 for 64GB. Or, got something even cheaper but fall within my requirement 1-2 years durability....best if 5 years

A129 switch off recording memang got the sound one kah?

I just got myself a Mini 0906, the cigarette port doesn't turn off even after I have switch off the engine for a long time. The dashcam continues to operate.
The cigarette port will cut off the power only after around 5 minutes after I lock the car.
I'm afraid all these things will drain my car battery.

Is this my car problem or it's the dashcam problem?
Btw, my car is Serena Hybrid 2018

I’ve an issue here. I tried tapping into several fuse but the problem comes when my car’s idle auto start stop kicks in. Everytime when my engine restart after the traffic light, the camera will flicker and the camera restarts.

Anyone has this issue and how did u overcome it?

Edit: when I plug into ciggy port, it works perfectly.

Thanks for sharing your experience.. Helps others in similar situations to know what to expect. How about a compromise, give up the istop feature by permanently disabling it? Can be done via software hack.

Not bad, viofo a129 record inside very clear but need street light.
What factor it records clearly? Night vision function? Resolution? Lens?

Later gonna try to use the rear to record inside see clear or not.
Or else thinking to buy another dashcam or action cam
Action cam can loop recording and auto erase when full?

Anyone knows the CPL filter for A118 works?
The reflection of my dashboard significantly affect my dashcam video. Need a CPL filter to reduce it.
Lastly, where can I buy the CPL filter? I've browse through lazada it's around RM50, reasonable?

Any news abt the availability of the 3 wire kit for a129?
