the instructions are pretty straight forward, will be fine unless you do something stupid like plug out the power half way during update biggrin.gif

happy with the image quality after the update, but currently my mic is picking up some static noise. troubleshooting with the members there now to determine whether is the fw or other reason causing it
*
I know how to flash. Cause the other day I flashed the official firmware for the pre-production A129 and it keeps auto shutdown after a successful update and reset to factory default. In the end, I flashed the beta firmware and no more issues sweat.gif

Bro Joey, Can intro any shops selling the mount for Dome D201 and also the mini usb B for my dashcam? The adapter i got from aliexpress doesn't work. Quality very bad, loose cable
*
The best mini USB cable I like is from Viofo for their A119 series. I tried before for the D201 and small enough with the mount as the cable that came with the D201 is the 90 degress head.

Last time I found a tape mount for the D201 but I can't remember where.

Guys, anyone had experience using Samsung Evo+ microsd with your dashcam?
i need to buy a new microsd for my dashcam but not too sure i should get Evo+  (previously using sandisk)

thanks.
*
Evo+ is the old version. Get the newer Evo Plus instead.

Been using Evo, Evo+ and Evo Plus no issues with dashcams.

Can get those with High Endurance but a bit higher price and have a warranty when using in dashcams and IP cams.

Also, Sandisk Ultra A1 seems to be a new version which is using new NAND chip than Sandisk Ultra.

Have good experience so far using Samsung Evo. This is coming from someone who first installed a dashcam in his car in 2011.

Wow! You're my senior. My first dashcam was in July 2015 laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Hi, i hope my review can also be posted here.

https://vsmh96.wordpress.com/2018/10/23/a-r...viofo-a129-duo/

Do leave your comments and opinions if any on how to improve.
*
So you have both pre-production and a retail A129 Duo as from what I read in your review? You can flash the beta firmware into the pre-production unit as I have did into mine.

Lots of details in your review.

You'll need to title your videos properly instead of leaving the filename as the title. Not easy for viewers to know what the video is about.

You can also post your review here: https://forum.lowyat.net/ReviewsandGuides

Oh! Maybe you check with the seller that you bought the X9 from and see. I saw online selling rm199 for the GPS module.

Thank you Mr. Jeremy (i believe), for your suggestions, coming from one of the "sifus" of this area makes it more interesting.

I will look into them and see how to go about it.

Still uploading raw files now.

Both units I have are retail units. I didn't try any beta firmware yet since the cam has to be reliable above all else so i would perhaps stick to stable released firmware.

I hope the details are not overwhelming as i do prefer a bit more detail when reading them.
*
Just Jeremy is fine. Mr too formal laugh.gif

Each reader is different. Some like more details. Some like more pictures. Some only like Youtube videos. Etc etc.

But you'll need to find your sweet spot/the right balance in your reviews. I'm still finding mine sweat.gif

Does Samsung Evo Plus 64 GB works with Thinkware F770 ?

From what I read, it only works with Thinkware MLC SD card.
*
I've tried and doesn't work with F770. You'll need use back Thinkware own MLC card or get made in Korea Lexar card as Thinkware MLC card is OEM by Lexar Korea.

Made in China Lexar won't work so well though.

I've checked the manual and there is no mention of a hardware reset on the B1W. Maybe can email BlueSkySea support?

I managed to use Evo PLus 128GB on my F200, probably the new gen F200 & F800 can support the Evo PLus.
*
Yes F200 can use Evo Plus and Netac Pro with no issues.

I haven't try 128GB Evo Plus with the F800 Pro but I know the 64GB Evo Plus will cause the F770 to restart when error.

Should be firmed d unless got issues then might be postponed again.

QUOTE(KIntos @ Oct 29 2018, 11:35 AM)
Latest news. Might be postponed again. Connector angle changing point and no fuse tap included.
*
This is the norm as mostly all hardwire kits have to buy the fuse taps separately.

What is the "connector angle changing point"?

i see.. wondering why do they test it for such a long duration.. isn't this hard wire is a common stuff ?
*
Some are using the 2 wires hardwire kit and the new 3 wires are coming soon. Some requested Viofo to consider letting them use the 2 wires hardwire kit instead of the 3 wires hardwire kit.

So Viofo is implementing a function in the coming firmware that allows you to choose which hardwire kit is used. This is part of why there was some delay in the final 3 wires hardwire kit.

If you're considering using a powerbank to power the parking mode, please get a powerbank that is using lithium iron phosphate and not that powerbank you can buy in computer shops that use lithium ion.

Lithium ion not safe to use in hot weather.

Hello, did the iroad have the function to press and mark the video?.
Mean if i hit someone. I can mark the video first, without taking out sd card and using pc one by one finding the timing.
And i also plan wire x9 to cig power if i change to subaru forester, to prevent warranty void?
*
I'm not sure about the iRoad X9. Why don't you read the manual? Should be all in there.

Also if you have hit someone and the impact triggers the sensor, that video will be put into the emergency folder.

All car manufacturers will void the warranty for anything not installed in the factory.

About the shock sensor. It just too sensitive, even i cross a bump. It beep.(saved?)
*
Yes that's the emergency recording when triggered.

Korean dashcams are more sensitive than China dashcam. Which is a good thing.

You can change to a lower sensitivity if you don't want it to be that sensitive.
