[INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH VERSION] Xiaomi Mijia 1080P 3.0 Inch TFT Screen Car Recorder Camera Dashcam 160 Degree Wide Angle Viewing, Support TF Card / G-Sensor / App Viewing(Black)

or this? any difference actually?
*
Mijia is Xiaomi while Yi is Yi. Both are 2 different companies.

Yi dashcam too many version with minor specs differences. You'll need to research on your own which is to your liking/requirements.

Best to read reviews and watch Youtube.

guys guys, i have a very tight budget of RM350. any good dashcam to recommend ?
my car always exposed to sun, and i will be driving my carr day & night time, so video quality must be good. thank you
*
Consider a dashcam that uses a capacitor as more durable in the heat than those using a lithium battery.

Can consider Viofo A119 or BlueSkySea B1W...

Check their official store in Aliexpress...

https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/VI...2814219025.html

Or at Sicurez as they are authorized distributor in Malaysia
https://www.sicurez.com.my/products/viofo-a119 (RM360 with GPS mount)

You can get any good USB charger and 3 meters long mini USB cable for a replacement...

Or search in AliExpress

I bought the XiaoYi dashcam and it comes with the windscreen mounting. Any compatible mountings or holders for the dashboard instead? I'd rather stick on the mount on my dashboard instread of creating a watermark sort of stain on my windscreen.
*
You mean suction cup mount or tape mount? If tape mount, can use those clear road tax sticker and stick inbetween the dashcam and windscreen.

Get the rear view mirror mount?

Any idea if the 70Mai Pro will be released in international version (English) soon?

If the Chinese version works perfectly, I don't mind jumping on it first before international version is released.

blurjoey Appreciate your kind review on the 70Mai Pro!
*
I just finished recording 1944p videos last night... Need to do 1440p today... Going to skip H.264 encoding videos... All H.265 laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

The chinese app is mostly in english so easier to configure the 70mai pro from there than on the 70mai pro...

QUOTE(Like a Bause @ Sep 27 2018, 12:05 PM)
how long a dash cam will last on those with batteries typed.. ?
*
A dashcam that uses a lithium battery is not good to use in hot countries like Malaysia. Over time the lithium battery will fail which causes the dashcam to unable to save the settings and the last video file. And the lithium battery will get bloated, leaking or worst case explodes.

Capacitor dashcams don't have these issues like the above. The only drawback is you cannot power on the dashcam without power.

A lithium battery dashcam can power on for about 5-15 minutes depending on the size of the mAh it has.

2 of my xiaoyi's dashcam that put on my 2 cars are still functioning well after over a year.

always parking, i always put my cap to cover the dashcams from would-be eye prying thieves. perhaps that is the reason of the prolonged life of my dashcams.
*
My wife's yi dashcam's battery died after 1.5 years. Always park outside sun and rain.
