for members in sabah who's wanting to buy the lumia 1020 but not sure the price..
it is rm2399 comes with camera grip & a powerbank. the shop name is metro electronic, located in karamunsing shopping complex ground floor.

i have no affiliation with the shop. just a previous customer who bought lumia 920 there.

Ya..i also installed ProShot, different camera apps got different effect

This is what i meant earlier on my Lumia 1020.

My photo will have color faded off after taken and review. It seems like the quality dropped down.

The so called “black shadows” are an AMOLED “characteristic”. It is related to the electronics (TFT- thin-film transistor) inside the panel which is causing uneven dark states in the pixels. There are differences from panel to panel and in some cases black shadows are more noticeable only in a totally dark environment.

You may try to reset the phone's camera by going to Settings> applications > photos+camera > scroll down to "reset camera" and check if this will resolve your concern.
The 41MP sensor of Nokia Pro Camera enables you to take sharp photos. When you take a photo, the camera saves 2 versions of it: a full-resolution photo (34MP), and a high-resolution photo (5MP). The full-resolution photo can only be viewed in Nokia Pro Camera, where you can also zoom and reframe this detailed photo. Elsewhere, for example in Photos hub, a very clear 5MP version of the photo is used. This 5MP version of the photo is easy to share, for example, in social media.

guys how do you transfer the contacts in outlook to the phone the fastest way?

as in my contacts are sitting in my outlook but i cant find a way to sync it.

I had , afraid that it will be more serious in the long term ... more worse when the warranty has expired. Screen looks ugly when night or any low light conditions .

from outlook to phone?

people > setting > add an account?

or ..press + hold your account > sync?


if from google account then u need to play some trick

damn confused because first time using.

i somehow managed to add my microsoft account on my phone...but it was the wrong account and i cant delete it.

when i hold it...theres only a sync button...no delete button. someone can help me?

damn been sitting the past 1 hour trying to sync my contacts but to no avail.

EDIT: it kept showing 'check your information and try again' under the domain: there's a '?' sign and empty. what do i put it in

EDIT 2: whats the microsoft sever name?

from the phone, can it upload the 41mpxl as well? ..guys, when you post into facebook, do it show lumia 1020 like pureview 808 and iphone.

Don't have a way to upload the 36MP shot from the phone yet. As to what it mentions you uploaded with, depends on what app your using. From Windows Phone Photos app it'll say "Windows Phone"

After few update, the apps on WP8 become quite stable now. Just that if your line connection is bad, it will had notification delay.

But like new whatapps owner on IOS, whatapps on WP8 only allow you free trial for one year, after that 0.99 USD per year fees.

I will take it that 'outlook' you mean is the program, not the outlook.com

The easiest way is to export your contacts from the outlook program into a CSV file. Then log in to the Hotmail/Outlook.com account you used for your phone, click the arrow next to the 'OUTLOOK' on top left, choose 'PEOPLE' and then 'Import from file'.

Then either wait for your phone to sync, or go to Settings>Email+Account to manual sync and get all the contacts.

EDIT : After some thought, if you are using outlook program, it will be much better to have contacts that sync across instead of having two separated contact lists, so using a Hotmail Connector plugin will be much better, it will allow you to connect your outlook program to Hotmail/Outlook.com and manage the email, calendar and contacts.

well, i want to showoff sometimes hahaha free advertisement for nokia
about the battery, it drain real quick with camera smart cam/cinema graph and games stuff...mine goes like discharge at 17% while charging at 20%. i have to close all apps, black background, xbox live, energy mode to last until night from 6am - 9pm

update: this morning a got better result from 12hours-to 17hours, both under energy mode after charge.
