The battery is way better than any Lumia that is older than 1020.
I use to own 920 and the battery really sucks until they announced Portico.
One full charge usually last around a day for me, like charge and unplugged in the morning until night time around 11 or 12 die the battery. I don't use 3G though battery drains a bit like normal la if you use 3G. I'm on 4G/LTE.. Battery last a day without switching 4G/LTE off. Pretty awesome.
Good bro good. Hahaha
I like yellow as well, it is a bit odd but eye appealing to most people.
There won't be times when people won't see your phone when you flash it to the public brows.gif
Boleh2 dah tukar now.. L900 sudah tua..  whistling.gif

err...does that means in LTE mode the battery life was better than 3g/hspda mode?

btw....i love my lumia900 much......because already dev.unlocked.....just sad case of bloated "other memory" and lesser wp7.8 apps coming.....

aspire bro...me certainly not so loyal to any brand.... a very long list of phone since the day i'm using mobile phone suggest, siemens c35,nokia butterfly, motorola L7, motorola e398, s.e k350i, lg ku990 viewty, lg gd900 crystal, huawei forgot what model (early android stuff) and now current lumia900 (which i got for free), and seeing the capability of lumia 1020 camera and wp8 (after becum white mouse on wp7.5/7.8), certainly i've no problem to decide buying lumia1020 as my next phone... nod.gif

Yes it should be. LTE saves more battery than 3G. Very normal.

Of course need LTE data plan.

I use the iPhone 5 iValue because back then I use iPhone 4 before upgrading to 920 and after a year to 1020.

You need to check if your wifi channel on the router is set to 1 or 11.

Some Le Tour de Langkawi shots taken with Lumia 1020. http://www.flickr.com/photos/davidletterbo...57641697658794/

A few things to take note:
1) All shots using 5MP mode.
2) I made a huge mistake. This is the first time I shoot anything under bright sun. Because the lightning was harsh (they were facing the sun's direction) I thought the dynamic range wasn't enough and I tried to recover the shadow area by +0.7EV. Turned out that it's the display screen that wasn't bright enough under the sun. doh.gif That made most shots overexposed. sad.gif
3) Most of them are PP-ed using Flickr. I don't like L1020's colour (too warm). Still prefer 808PV's colour.

Under the bright sun...even the lowest ISO is more than enough. Even you select auto ISO, it will choose ISO 100. smile.gif

I tried not to zoom. The supersampling works the best without zooming at all.

BTW, it all depends on the condition. Those pics were taken under the bright sun. So, ISO100 is enough. Shutter speed also very high (at least 1/1000s!).

Under sun light always set ev to 0 first and iso to the lowest possible.

First thing to remember do not let the phone decide for you, but u decide how you want the phone to work for you.

Shutter speed is practically useless to know.

Beside you editing with Picasa your photo looks great

Ya. It's a huge mistake. Actually I had to throw out a lot of pics due to overexposure. doh.gif

i found that i got a problem... when shooting my superman. First i check the exposure is ev 0. then i set ISO to 100, when i shoot it will blur and double layer because of my hand shaking. leave me no choice when i pull shutter speed to 1/60 my exposure auto choose ev to negative super low -3. why??? can't the ev stay at 0 when i play with shutter speed?

How can with OIS still blur? Focus blur, hand shake blur .

If hand shake then find way to reduce the shake. The position u hold your camera must change.
