Definitely not ABS, people have claim from SC for this issue. SD card in, even my SA admit got problem. SC told me to just download the maps myself and update, faster. Hahaha. The burnt smell I guess is the excess oil, since it was <100km when I tried S mode to hit 160.

I am still experiencing burning smell eventhough my car has reached 10000km..

Car is still at SC COsE for the, to do thorough checking

Really? Damn, I hope they find the RC for yours. Anyway does anyone know if it's normal for the hazard lights to flash for sometime when cold start in the morning? First time cold start today, can see the engine cranking much more than usual. The hazard lights blinking was weird though.

3 step = place key, press start, wait for for the clock to appear on the radio, press brake, green light, press start again. This the procedure I follow. Is this the right way?

1. push start button
2. push start button and wait for the info lights on the dash/meter cluster to turn off
3. step on brake and push start button to start engine

So need to press the start button twice after placing the key before stepping on the brake?

I see, I shall try this method out tomorrow morning and see if the same problem. I see the SC mech like don't care all this. He just put the key, press the brake and long press the start button. Sakit hati looking at it.

Good morning to all Suprima's owner smile.gif

I do not own a Suprima at the moment but I am just curious about the push start button which I saw you guys discussing about. Why does it required to follow a few steps before engine start? I thought push/stop system just required to press brake and press the "Start button"?
Or Suprima's system a bit different?

i think we've discussed about the method somewhere...
well, the 3 step is the proposed/best way to start the engine.
same like when we use key, it's the acc-on-start (or something like that).

u can start with a single push but the system might not be ready.
i guess the can-bus system makes it slow/lembap a bit? tongue.gif

just my 2 cents

if you refer to owner manual, there are 2 ways to start the SS using push start button.... via 3 times push and single push(hold)... FYI if you guys start the engine, all equipment that using electric will be shut down to direct the full power for cranking...

yup2 this is what the guys at SC teaching me to do. they said its the proper way.

wht I understand its because they key will moniter the trend how we start and such. worst case if not done proper start there motherboard will prevent engine from starting which he said quite common problem they've been ask to deal with. wht they do after is just resetting the motherboard.

reply to earlier post about helicopter sound when breaking. this is due to disk brake not even. they said its temperature related hot - cold - hot....

burning slight smells after stress with high velocity, the sc guy said its normal so.

beware its not adviced to stress the car if you have not reached 1000km yet.

Thanks for the replies. I have driven Forte with start/stop button and every time I wanted to start the engine I just press on the press foot brake and push the start button (around 1 second). So I am wondering is it different car manufacturer using different start/stop system which required different "best practice" method to start the engine? Or the same method (3- steps) apply to all car? rclxub.gif

Okay, will follow the method you guys gave. So the helicopter sound I can just wait till the 1k service right? They'll fix it at that time? Hopefully the burning smell goes away. Haha, I know, but itchy that day after taking the car and going on LEKAS back to Seremban. Wanted to test the S mode. I already 250km in 2 days. LOL. End of the month 1k I guess.

Also guys, are you all happy with the tint that came with the car or upgraded already? The stock one feels hot, and don't have that dark stripe near the top of the windscreen. Opinions?

I think I read this somewhere in the first few pages in manual. or service booklet cant quite remember sorry.

its more of an advice or proposal I think.

its more on speed if I remember correctly

about tint. never had one before with my saga. so now with the existing tint on my suprima I can say very big improvement. mayb because its my first tinted car. im very satisfied. used to extreme heat in my saga don't think I will change the original tint from surpima.

mayb its different with those who already had experience with tint before.

The stripe of tint on top of the windscreen can be added in any tint shop for RM20 or less.
