Guys, my power window at driver side have very loud crack sound, the moment open & when almost completely close. Sounds like bracket or plastic crack, very loud.
The motor still running, but wonder is anything loose or bracket issue.

Any sifu have experience to share?

no idea bout that but i think u can go proton SC to get it checked since it is covered under warranty.shudn't be a problem claiming warranty for that...does that consistently happen? if yes, then u can show to the SC guy there and they will know wad to do....

Too bad is past the warranty, going to 3 years car. When within warranty the sound not that loud, ask the SC check, cos the sound not that loud, so they not even open to check, say is normal. But now getting loud. Sounds more like bracket...

Any idea how much for a bracket? Should back to Proton change or outside accessory shop will do?

i thought power window got lifetime warranty?d question now problem is not rectify...bracket sound is just the assumption.perhaps u can just give SC a try, at least after they rectify for u then u knw wad is d problem, ask them whether still can claim or not. if cant, then u can change at workshop since u already know wad's d problem.

of course if proton charge u a reasonable price to get it fix, y not just fix at proton on the spot?

CC5 is an entry level tyres, way better than its predecessor CC1 but fall short of expectation after using a while (not my own exp, lots of real life usage review around). If you want entry level tyres however, CC5 and XM2 is still the one to go for.

For some who's using 2 different sets of tyres, I don't see any reason why not.

However one thing you have to take note of. If the older tyres is a performance range with excellent grip and the new ones are CC5 entry level where grip is minimal where else you would normally stuck the new tyres on the rear, you might risk tyre slip at the back when doing hard braking especially on downhill runs.

If sticking any better grip tyres to the back and entry level in front, it should be ok. However if the old performance tyres are worn down, the grip might lessen to even lower level than the new entry level, so you have to judge yourself....just make sure the tyres at rear have higher existing grip than the front.

I thought the Power Window lifetime warranty is start from don't know which batch or year car. No idea my car included or not?

Another question is, I used to service my car at home town (of course is Proton SC), but I work at KL, can I claim at any Proton SC at KL, or should I back to my normal service SC?

Terms and conditions:
The Lifetime Warranty is defined as ten (10) years of a customer's vehicle age or 250,000km from the car registration date (whichever comes first).
The warranty is subject to full compliance of the recommended periodical service maintenance as specified in the Service Booklet to be conducted at any authorised PROTON service centre.
Any Proton car model that is registered before 31 August 2011 and is still under the manufacturer's warranty will require a valid Power Window System Warranty Registration.
The Power Window Lifetime Warranty covers only four (4) components of the power window mechanism; run channel, power window motor, door regulator and power window switch.
Power Window Lifetime Warranty is claimable at all authorised PROTON service centres.
*Power Window Lifetime Warranty is only applicable to the Malaysian market.

My car is March 2011, so will required valid Power Window System Warranty Registration based on the info, don't know still ok for me to register or not? I remember I did ask before when I service my car when that program launch, they told me the registration form was running out...!

You can claim in any Proton Authorised workshop regardless of the place you buy from.

I just replace my gen2's rear right power window last sunday. the window fell down when i tried to close it. it was the plastic roller broken. spent rm38 to buy the part and replace myself.

but sadly after reinstall the door panel, now it doesn't fit-in tightly although no broken clip. i understand the part is super cheap so i shouldn't complain when it fail. but somehow i rather it's expensive and long lasting. you know lar, opening those dashboard/door panel a few time will become loose and those tikus sound will come out...

Wow, if that cheap no need to spend few hours wait at SC. But not sure is same problem or not? If less than rm50, I rather pay myself. Go SC need to apply leave, wait few hour, if lucky got stock if not...have to go another trip.

Mine is February 2011 also got the warranty card.
Don't go back to that SC who told u about form running out.
No need spend few hours if got parts. Just make appointment and they will fix it quickly.
Better go to COSE if you want fast.

Simple, but screws are super tight as in original form, screw driver cannot un-tighten it, need to use spannar.

I asked the SC outside my house during Sunday, they don't have stock, selling price is RM69 something, labour charge will be RM30. They said gen2 and persona same design (at least for rear 1 as I asked).

The RM38 is OEM type, I'm having difficulty in getting that as most spare-part shop closed on sunday. My power window kaput without any warning/alert, just fell down completely. So i have to use a few paper stuck on the border to avoid it fall down.

True or not? Cavino got Gen2 window, IINM.
