Guys, when you put your T100 under sleep mode, does it drain a lot of battery juice?

Cause for my case, during sleep mode. The unit seems hot and draining battery!

How does Asus implement the smart battery hibernate?

I'm searching for solution too.

I've tried ten minutes without dock and sleep mode. Doesn't drain. I'm testing now with keyboard dock and sleep mode. See how it goes.

Unlike windows 7 where I can easily kill the apps I'm running or minimise.

Windows 8.1 seems different.

I wonder where is the claims of having 10 hours usage. Aren't sleep mode suppose to shut off all hardware?

Is the BIOS update 220 suppose to fix this issue?

seriously there is something wrong with the unit.

with the docking in place, it drains about 25% battery juice in sleep mode and i can feel the heat! it seems like there is a bug where the unit wakes itself up! How did I found out? When I flip the lid up, I'm not in standby screen but in my desktop/start window.

Either I have to unplug my tablet during sleep mode or else shut down the tablet.

Is something like back in the days Asus Transformer 1st and 2nd gen use to have problem with dock closed and it wake itself up.

I'd recommend against it. When I updated to 220 I couldnt use the Windows couldn't detect the touchscreen, sound and battery.

TIP:
I'm still having issues with the T100 turning on (and then staying on) by itself.
I think the TF has been in book mode in all of these instances, and am wondering if perhaps the fit is tight enough that little bumps can activate some of the keys while it is in my bag (which would take the tablet out of sleep mode and drain the battery). A few times, I've taken the tablet out and found it very warm too.
Is there any way to not have the tablet come out of sleep when a key is pressed?

--> Go to the Device Manager, find the Keyboard device, right click and choose Properties and on one of the tabs there should be something like "let the device to wake the system". Untick that.

I've tried seems not helping either.

I've set it not to wake up when keyboard keys in. Restart the unit, same thing.

I've try opening a bit by not trigger standby mode display. Then the moment I press on any keyboard button, the screen lights up!

Even pressing the "start" button also turns on the screen.

Is boring to have the unit sleep mode on dock mode but drain a lot of battery and the unit is very warm.

I found out another problem.

When I move the cursor to battery indicator. I was surprise to see it's not charging and percentage stays there. But when I open the battery menu & close it, it updates the battery percentage status that is telling me it's charging. Not the fastest charging I've seen. Slow even is output is 5V 3amps! That should be faster charging than iPad 5V 2.1amps. It seems that previous T100 model without hard disk docking keyboard is using Asus 5v 2amp adapter. Only this new batch comes with 5V 3amp and no ASUS logo!

i think the extra AMP is for the HDD... really taking a lot of charge...

@Jimmy, maybe you can try take off the keyboard n charge... see whether it will charge the tablet faster or not... if yes then it prove the HDD really eats up the charge pretty fast...
