Hi guys. Im really interested in getting 1. But my concern is will it be really useful. Cos currently I still have an acer aspire bought in 2009 still running strong. I can play fifa 11 on iit. So comparing t100 wit the old 1 is it able to replace my old legend. Its a dual core processor intel.

QUOTE(g5sim @ Dec 13 2013, 09:07 AM) technically T100 can replace a laptop device but usability wise its up to you. This is a 10" device. I personally will continue to use my desktop for non urgent productivity tasks thanks for the advise im usually on the go so it burdens me bringing a laptop which battery life is short and it weighs like a brick so t100 is a really good choice for me.. i saw acer w4 but it doesnt come with keyboard.do windows 8 have on screen keyboard when we need to input some text?? |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Dec 16 2013, 02:56 PM) I'm searching for solution too. I've tried sleep mode with dock and it drains. and only 2 apps running FB and Mail 56% now where in the morning is 100% @ 10am now 3pm already half.... i only open music without switching on the screen.I've tried ten minutes without dock and sleep mode. Doesn't drain. I'm testing now with keyboard dock and sleep mode. See how it goes. Unlike windows 7 where I can easily kill the apps I'm running or minimise. Windows 8.1 seems different. |

QUOTE(jimmylim85 @ Dec 18 2013, 06:51 PM) The only thing I hate about this tablet is just touch pad seems not sensitive and everytime I click either left or right button seems to shift the mouse pointer. The battery drain is with the keyboard dock. Confirm because today I try to put it on standby from morning until now. Still got 91% remaining.Secondly is the sleep mode battery drain. When I shut off the unit in dock mode from morning till now, no drain. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Dec 19 2013, 09:33 AM) having used 2 'big' asus products -- TF101 (the first transformer) & Padfone2. so i think they need a firmware update to fix the battery drain for the keyboard dock. because without docking my t100 still has 84% since yesterday morning...there will always be some issues. Asus QC can be pretty bad <-- 'moving parts', creaking sound, etc. while hardware manufacturing issues usually cannot be fixed, some just needs a firmware update and this is where Asus shines. they really do try to take care of customers and listen to feedback. i've gone thru many firmware updates for the tf101. so i guess just need to give Asus sometime to sort things out. it will be the same for the next version of t100. if anything, using the tf101 as example, i still think its the best android transformer -- better than the next gens that came. tf101 has got more ports, etc... so, if you plan to wait for the 'perfect' model, good luck waiting coz the way Asus is manufacturing stuff (their QC), dun expect 'perfection' from them. are they all that bad? i dun think so... plus, at this price... running Windows 8.1 (full fledged OS)... doubling up as tablet... and even comes with MS Office... no other brands come even close to this. |

QUOTE(michael9413 @ Dec 19 2013, 10:42 AM) If u install things in HDD then when u undock it the program cannot be use... lets say a 4gb game if i install it in the hdd then when i undock it its not playable then when i dock it back it will be playable again?Same like if u put files in it... But I'm not sure about memory card... I was thinking to put 32GB to install some of the programs inside... |
