Was having keyboard issue with DN2. Fixed it already but lazy to download the update now.

Will do it if there is any major update, after all I'm really under-utilizing my Note II. It is now my mobile hotspot as well.

More than that... Turned on since 9.30 a.m., that time with 85% battery left.
Now is still turned on, I'm still in office. 26% left and lots of SMS-es in between.

Uh oh... I think I broke Samsung Account sync while I was clearing up the other syncadapters I wasn't using. Not that I'm using it for anything Besides S-Note syncing anyway. Now it constantly gives me sync errors.

Too lazy to rollback, bought DropSync and set it up to sync my S-Notes to Dropbox instead, and wiped the whole syncadapter shebang off my device.

Usability yes, through it's really only feature bloat. Half of the things in TW (especially the "gesture actions") are only really used occasionally. Though with the extreme power available on modern phones like the N3, putting empty stock android in will mean that the monster specs will be put to waste really, so might as well.

That 3GB is there for a reason after all. Even considering about 2.5 is available to the user (thanks to all the features), that's STILL 500MBs more than what the N2 (or for that matter, anyone else) has. Plus is LPDDR summore.

That said, NOBODY seems keen enough to come up with a stock android phone with an active stylus so I'll take what I have... and strip it bare. And it's not that the TW Framework is all bad, some of add ons are not bad (screen mirroring, S Beam). The colour scheme is horrendous though, especially when you consider that AMOLED actually runs better (lower power consumption) on a Holo Dark UI.

Anyways this is my dad's note 2 running dn3 v2 with multi window! Like search for a restaurant address and have navigation on google maps. Meanwhile when stopping at traffic light play lyn.

I knew it was bad, but I never imagined it could be that easy. And we haven't even gone into insecure WIFI data interception yet (better known to most as "Facebook hacking", which is why I prefer to use 3G data even in places with hotspots unless I have no choice).

Fact remains that we remain "locked" to Google (and Samsung) simply because it makes things so much simpler for us. Even then, do remember that we can at least make it harder (well, if they try hard enough they WILL get the data nonetheless) for would be attackers to access our stuff.

While I doubt local criminals have reached this level of sophistication, if someone can think out this scenario, somebody else might just attempt it.

Exactly!    Thing is IF someone is really determined to get you, he/she has very high chance of doing it. IF a hacker is bent on targeting you, he/she most likely will succeed. It's the same with locking your house door/gate and locking your car. If a thief is determined to break into your house, all these systems has some weaknesses that could be exploited.  Even when the system is fool proof, there's always the social engineering techniques.

The purpose of the "locks" is mostly to deter crime of opportunity, i.e. someone walking pass your house and noticed the gate and front door is open and there seems to be no one around the perimeter of the house.
