QUOTE(Eiraku @ Nov 21 2013, 06:21 PM) @joytest: The string "ro.bo.bootloader" doesn't exist if you're on DMF2. It's called "ro.bootloader" now. And yeah I'm on a newer bootloader. What a comedy of errors.....tot31's post also has a typo, so yes, it is "ro.bootloader" and not as per the quote.

Hi guys I've been on a short holiday will be back tomorrow. Nice to see the thread come alive with flashing discussions again. The advantage of the note2 over note3 is that now a large portion will be out of warranty, so the warning triangle is irrelevant. Even knox is somewhat irrelevant unless you think you want to usee it on enterprise stuff.
Not to mention over 100 roms to choose from including deprecated ones.

QUOTE(arrowhead7372 @ Nov 24 2013, 10:26 AM) guys, just wanna check if any of u have used those massive capacity batteries like 6800mah with the extended back covers. any feedback? rather cheap these days. QUOTE(fwhoam @ Nov 24 2013, 10:35 AM) I have use one during my s2 days. The sot is almost the same or less compared to ori battery. There reviews all around the web from normal users. Almost everyone reports at least double battery life.

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Nov 25 2013, 04:46 PM) that's normal for mobile data on most of the time,. Even for mobile data on 24/7, the average SOT should still be minimum 4hrs.

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Nov 25 2013, 08:49 PM) Why would u need it to last when you are always tempted to upgrade when the successor arrive? Personally I do feel like everything is getting bored on iOS and Android. So bored until I wonder what do you need all those powerhouse for. At least you can still get good game with good frame rate and IQ in iOS, but don't know why in Android, the IQ really sucks (for some games like RR3 etc) It is exactly the same situation that exists now for notebooks and PCs. What more can you expect? Maybe 3D projection and stuff. Or a contact lens display on your eyes.

QUOTE(sacremento @ Nov 25 2013, 11:19 PM) Lately so many flashers. The thread is quite lively now. Seriously where are the custom kernels. Flashing rom is kinda boring nowadays. QUOTE(kira_88 @ Nov 25 2013, 11:30 PM) yeah, what happen to perseus kernel? I suppose natural evolution of technology took its toll. Devs also love new toys, so they would have migrated to other, newer devices. zoidbergfry where is your custom kernel

QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Nov 26 2013, 11:07 PM) Guys, how much do you think repairing N7100 camera cost? Accidentally splashed water to my mobile. Everything okay except the camera. I just wonder if the water or the heat from exposing my mobile to in-direct sunlight cause the camera damage. Don't think anyone's ever replaced the camera module alone. You might have suffered some water damage to parts of the mainboard that interfaces with the camera. Mainboard is around 600-700.

QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Nov 27 2013, 07:46 AM) Ouch.... Your post really hurt me. Sound like "better add few hundred and get a new mobile." Awww. Since it's not covered by warranty, you could send it in to SC to check. They may have a spare camera module lying around for a lot less.

QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Nov 27 2013, 08:09 AM) Hopefully can hook them without gin & tonic. I need new smartphone or phablet. I can't live without one while waiting to be repair. See if the water damage indicator has turned red. If it has they will know that water is involved. It's a small rectangular piece of paper somewhere at the side of the battery compartment. Don't recall if there's another water damage indicator on the inside. *hood wink*

V28 tonight Still chugging along. The 2gb RAM will serve this device well when we get a stable 4.4 port unless a hardware failure occurs.
