QUOTE(off_shore @ Nov 6 2013, 09:51 PM) Whoever is on leaked 4.3 version from sammobile, do you encounter google account removal with each reboot?? I feel it so annoying especially when you have multiple google accounts Happens quite often after a reboot on DN3. I think there was some solution on the xda thread but can't find it.

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Nov 6 2013, 11:52 PM) Compressed RAM and swap will always be inferior to the real thing. But it IS useful if "the real thing" is not an option. Yet another reason why I ran the eff away from my S3. 1GB of RAM can only go so far. My N270 Atom netbook has 2Gb....after I've replaced the batteries I'll install some flavor of linux on it, perhaps even dualboot Android x86...I feel 2Gb is the inflexion point for a good enough overall experience for any modern OS.

QUOTE(off_shore @ Nov 7 2013, 03:08 PM) I was on DN3 and the battery drains really fast even though im using some battery saver app where it will disable my data usage whenever the screen is off.. still it drains pretty fast... like 30% for 4 hours with screen time less than 1 hour..... do anything of u face battery drainage issue with custom roms? Mine can last about 6 hours of wifi tethering for my notebook while I'm waiting for my corporate network access. Since it is used as a hotspot, the SOT is very low, plus about 15-30mins of calls daily. It seems to be the same SOT achievable for stock rom.

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Nov 7 2013, 05:05 PM) There seems to be a fix up for that on XDA. http://bit.ly/17OAF1cI haven't had much of the problem itself, but I just installed this for good measure. Just make sure you "uninstall updates" for the Play Store from the application manager first. Also, it might be a bloody placebo effect, but somehow everything's smoother now with the store fix above. It's really unlikely it had to do with anything but that's like the only thing I changed. Even the browser stutters less now. Really weird. I wonder if the System App mover from j4velin might work as well instead of CWM flashing......

QUOTE(muman7 @ Nov 8 2013, 12:46 AM) I'm so sad I bought this note II from Maxis on the first launched day and Samsung repay me with the insane chip devices so now the Sudden Death Syndrome appears and my warranty is finished! Any advice from bro here who has the experience with this insane chip? Can I bring it back to Samsung SC for service and how much will it cost? I really do not wish to change phone arrggghh.... Board is 600+ unfortunately.. How do you know you got hit by SDS?

QUOTE(muman7 @ Nov 8 2013, 12:56 AM) My phone keeps freezing lately even after wipe and install some different roms (all on custom 4.3) and some research get me to the eMMC Brickbug Check apps from playstore and it confirmed that I have the insane chip! Still not sure the freezing problems and some random reboots has anything to do with the chip so hope any bros here can give some advice. I have the insane chip as well. I don't have any random reboots on pure stock or my recent DN3 ROM. I suspect some of your apps are badly behaved. I had some random reboots when I had too many apps of which a lot I never used, so after my current flash, I've kept apps to a minimum.

QUOTE(muman7 @ Nov 8 2013, 06:38 PM) Hey bro I screwed it big time! Was on Dr Ketan 4.3 then I flashed back to stock 4.1.2 due to freezing issues on 4.3 roms. Everything looks fine then I realized my imei has changed to the famous 0049990..... and no network detected! Go tru online till I blurred then accidentally deleted the efs folder with root explorer and replace with my efs (unzip from tar.gz), so now my phone imei still fake and i have this permanent frame with pda++ infos stick on my homescreen. Then after that I flashed other roms (stock and custom) it's still the same. Haih.... any suggestions on where shall I go now? Samsung SC or others phone fixing shop. SC will probably charge you a token fee to reflash your IMEI. Other phone shops, I don't know, hopefully they're not dodgy.

QUOTE(kazexx @ Nov 10 2013, 01:25 AM) hello, is the external memory card keep corrupt is common for note 2? i had one while back that last long like 2-3 months, and i changed new memory card Kingston Class 10 series..and it lasted not even a week.. the only thing i put inside my memory card is photo and music, nothing else running everything on stock, 4.1.2 Normally not a common occurrence. It happened with a batch of Sandisk cards earlier this year though. You could have been unlucky, but then again don't rely only on 1 copy in 1 location. Please backup your stuff elsewhere too.

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Nov 10 2013, 04:22 AM) Is this charging rate normal using original charger and cable? You should be getting 1800 for a 2A charger with good cable. Try swapping things around. At worst you've got a faulty usb port assembly. This part isn't very expensive to replace.

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Nov 11 2013, 11:11 AM) Just finished playing around with my build.prop. Bootlooped three times before I managed to get it working due to crap settings. Everything feels snappier now, but really, are there any UI tweaks that are actually quantifiable? Especially when it comes to the magic cauldron that is build.prop. You could check out the deprecated Moon Rom on xda it had some funky multi windows feature.

QUOTE(Inject @ Nov 11 2013, 02:24 PM) Hi guys, Does anyone know what file system is the Note 2 internal storage? I was recording a video in 1080p and it stopped automatically at 4GB (around 29 minutes). I know FAT32 has 4GB per file size limitations but there's no conclusive info whether the internal storage of SGN2 is exFAT or FAT32. Anyone tried recording videos larger than 4GB successfully, either in internal storage or external storage? I was also wondering if it's a hard limit by the default camera app for 1080p/720p on the SGN2, like the 5 minutes 4K recording on the Note 3. Internal storage should be ext4, which shouldn't have a 4Gb size limit. Could be an intentional restriction though.
