in the XZU thread, they have been talking about flashing the 3G model with LTE ROM to enabled the LTE radio.

anyone did the same and tried for XZL? meaning flashing LTE ROM into your XZL to enable the LTE radio

LTE needs some hardwares support to work.
Flashing LTE rom doesn't mean your 3G phone is LTE enabled.

yes, it needs hardware. but in the XZU thread, they said the LTE radio/hardware is indeed there in the 3G version, just that it's been disabled.

I dont think our XZL is capable of LTE BAND unless it the Model C6503 which LTE device where else C6502 is only HSPA+ device. Although both are using same SOC (Chipset) but there is additional Chip in bedded in C6503 ( My guess only ya)

Guys, how to check the warranty expiry date for ZL? something like key in serial number then will show warranty until when.

Not the best deal.. And extended warranty is just bullsh1t coz there are a lot of term and condition and its hardly to claim it.. Personally thinking warranty only useful within first few weeks u bought ur phone.

No such e-warranty for sony mobile.. Keep the receipt well and that's all..

Even u get LTE but ur data speed is slow as hell also useless.. Hsdpa+ can up to 10+ mbps easily ady.. I think this is enough for every usage ady even u watch, streaming HD movie.

u can register online, sony will send u an email to confirm ur phone warranty status with a serial number... this just keep as backup in case u lose ur receipt ( i think) ...but i heard that if want send phone for repair still need warranty card.....

Ok some data plan is limited at certain speed. Or maybe after over quota.. U are in 4G, but the speed is still slow.. Normal hsdpa+ phone can up to 42mbps.. But I'm just can get nearly 18mbps for the best, average 10mbps. LTE support till 100mbps.. But it does almost same speed with me.. It's mainly depend on carrier.. Especially in Malaysia Internet data speed is still under development..

oic... but i think usually those low data package will have limit right?
