Maybe you can call them up and ask. 3.6% for 12 months is their Islamic one, all the while also got.

I just placed for 6 months yesterday:

can anyone recommend me an FD for 200K for 3 months only?
*
Check first post? All the details are there already.

3 months (short term) you can't get very high rates.
12 months some banks can nego but generally also around 3.6% or so.

If you don't mind no PIDM, then go for Bank Rakyat.

i have already checked first post earlier and yes i know we cannot get good rates for 3 months
which is why i posted to check if any forumers found anything new (like in the recent weeks or so) good deals for 3 months or less  smile.gif

when i think fixed deposits, i always want PIDM
*
Are you willing to go for those stupid CASA thingy? OCBC has their 3-months promo but 50% must be put into CASA.

If you're looking for pure FD, then 3 months not many promo.

As per attached, it's called NID. Quite similar to FD. Minimum 100k placement. Rate can't nego much according to the branch manager. He say based on his experience, he could get 3.65% for 8m. rclxub.gif

Negotiable instrument of deposit. I'm aware that Affin Bank have them. But first time hearing retail investor can buy them.
*
Who were able to invest in NID previously?

We contacted the branch manager before going to the bank for their FD rates and he told us that we can opt for NID if we are interested.

Some 250K,

All banks have it.
No.

NID is not a bank FD, technical it is different with FD.
It is more like structured product.

It is like you give bank a sum of money to invest into whatever as pre-determined investment product.
*
Thanks for your explanation. So it's not FD after all. Sorry accidentally OTT.

QUOTE(pinksapphire @ Mar 13 2014, 03:38 PM)
Aiya, just read here that Affin gives out so many gifts for 100k FD and can withdraw without losing interest somemore at 3.6%? And I thought OCBC's 3.6% now is the best.
*
It's not exactly FD and no PIDM as well.

So bro, in order for premature withdrawal  we need to find a buyer thereby offering a discount .

Affin told me just inform them for premature withdrawal and it'll take 2 working days for the cash to be available.

Not Public Bank, Ambank priority banking.
Yes, mostly during the launching of their priority banking except for notebook, leather wallet & luggage tag which I got recently.

I got the personalized service until the RM left 2 months ago, which until now I do not know who is her replacement.

The amount for priority banking was RM200k but now not sure as it is no longer stated on the web site.
Oh yes, free for life visa infinite given too.
*
Sometimes when RM leave for another bank, the customers will follow the RM too. biggrin.gif
