Target total FD fund: RM 2.5 million or more
Minimum fund for each member: RM 50K

First thing first, now collecting member names first, member can change their mind

Which bank is offering the best 1 month or 1 year interest rate? Still Bank Rakyat?
*
1 month usually nothing. 1 year, try checking 1st page. Depending if you are interested with those stupid CASA thingy or not. Otherwise Affin bank 3.6% board rate or Bank Rakyat if you don't mind no PIDM.

QUOTE(RO Player @ Mar 5 2014, 10:05 PM)
i didnt nego...if deposit & longer than 12, 15 to 18 > 300k, maybe Affin, just 3.65 to 3.8..
anything below 100k and below..3.6% or 3.65 (if you happen to know the BM or long bank relationship)

i sense no point nego..if i put in 50k or 100k..extra 0.05% to 0.1 really not much diff
But i got,

i) monthly credited to my SA
ii) got 2 gifts
iii) special rates for housing/car loan.. brows.gif
*
The clock is nice! I want!

Me decided to go to Affin to nego with BM tomorrow. The other day he text me say >100k can give 3.6% for 12 months and can withdraw anytime without lost of interest. The last time I deposit in Affin for their promo, they gave me 1 umbrella only. cry.gif

Hmm, no one mentioned OCBC's 6 months rate of 3.6%. Quite good since it's a straightforward FD.
*
Yea. I just placed my funds into this actually.
Was at OCBC to withdraw my FD maturing today and take to Affin for 3.6% for 12 months but the girl told me got 3.6% for 6 months fresh funds. Straightforward FD no CASA thingy. Minimum 1k, maximum 2.5m.

this is interesting!

any website link? so far i dug out this http://www.ocbc.com.my/personal-banking/Ac...etail.html?id=6

no 3.6% pa for 6 months tenure.
*edit: what happen after maturity? if auto-renew (another 6-mth), will get 3.6% pa too? IMO, it's quite attractive since you're rolling the fund every 6-mth instead of affin's or ocbc's own CMGIA-i  3.6% @ 12mth
*
I also didn't know about it until I went there and the girl told me.
I was given a choice to auto-renew at board rate or credit to account upon maturity, so as usual I'll credit to account and withdraw out on maturity day. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(BoomChaCha @ Mar 6 2014, 10:27 PM)
Do you know when is this OCBC's 3.6% for 6 months promo ends?

Minimum RM 1K is not bad  smile.gif
Thanks for the OCBC link..

After 6 months, your FD rate will become board rate.
If auto renew 6 months, you will get 6 months rate based on board rate.

Like what Top cat mentioned, if go for Affin Islamic 3.6% for 12 months and coupled
with monthly interest and maybe will get some gifts, Affin Islamic is a better option.
*
Ah, forgot to ask when this promo will end. I'm going over again Monday, will help you ask then if no one else here asked already. smile.gif

OCBC Promo 3.6% for 6 months fresh fund ends on 31st March.

They started this promo last month when lots of the customers were asking them for pure FD and not those stupid CASA thingy.

QUOTE(kueyteowlou @ Mar 10 2014, 12:16 AM)
what is the rate for FD now?

if deposit around 200k ...

Depending on how long you want to put your money into FD for. It's around 3.5% or so I guess. Highest also 3.7% unless you go for BR with no PIDM as per Top Cat's breaking news below..

CC Infinite Visa, just RM60k income..to get that card which includes that elusive Priority Pass & life AF waiver.. nod.gif

Alliance Visa Infinite require is just 60k income? Or need to be their premier banking customer also?

QUOTE(TakoC @ Mar 10 2014, 10:07 PM)
Hi, what's the minimum amount?

I read that upon maturity renewal will go back to board rate right?
*
Minimum amount 1k I think, posted here a few pages back.

You can choose what to do to it upon maturity. Whether go for auto renewal (which is always auto renewed back to board rate no matter what type of FD promotion/bank) or credit principal + interest back into account. I usually go for credit back into account then will take out the funds and put somewhere else.

QUOTE(Gary1981 @ Mar 10 2014, 11:38 PM)
Mach HL officer said today there will no any promotion rate which previous month 3.7 for 6months. Current is @ 3.4 only. The next promotion rate is next new year.
*
Next year is still quite a long way to go. So fast they decide no promo edi ah.
