Now we have 14 members, total RM 700K

Plan (my brain storm only)
(1) Consolidate at least RM 1 million fund from all participating members.

(2) Appoint representative to negotiate with the bank.

(3) As suggested by Warrior HJebat, after bank says OK, then representative generates and PM confidential code (for bank to recognize members' identities purpose) to each participating member so that members can place their FDs at special rate by submitting the code to the bank. Each member will get one unique code only.

(4) Members can place FDs in their local bank branches.

Any suggestions are very welcome..Thank You.

I am worried about who will be our representative..? sad.gif
Like what you said, hopefully we can sort this out later..
I was in May Bank yesterday, talked to 3 May bank staffs about this CASA promo, but none of them could explain this CASA promo to me..  sad.gif  They asked me to call 1300-886688 to find out..

For the PMAi account, the 2.75%+1.25% (4%) is indeed a good rate for 4 months deposit but I was told if we withdraw the money right after the champaign period (on or after 1st August) before receiving the 1.25 bonus, we will not getting the 1.25% bonus. The 1.25% may not be paid immediately, can be 2 weeks later or in Sept 2014.
If the above info is true, then the effective rate will be lower than 4%.
We need some one who placed PMAi in the last champaign to confirm this info.

I am interested with this only if it is insured by PIDM. I am curious if we can place it with local bank, since each local bank has their own FD allocation. The centralized bank has to sent notification to each of the local bank to inform them of the special rate. I doubt they would do with only 1 mil allocated fund to push for this special rate.

Actually we'd probably need at least 2mil, but if he can do it with 1mil, so much the better for him smile.gif

It's from Maybank. Step up interest rates for FD with CASA requirement similar to Public Bank. You can just forget about it as the effective interest rate for FD is even lower than Public Bank.

Here is the Rewards & Bonus Campaign TnC:
http://www.maybank2u.com.my/WebBank/reward...s200314_tnc.pdf

I just briefly glanced thru it and I must say the TnC for the 1.25% additional bonus is so bloody complicated for any man in the street.
So many conditions to disqualify you from getting the 1.25%.

If one think he can just bring RM50k to Maybank tomorrow, open this PMAi account and earn 4%p.a, he will be disappointed. In fact he need more than RM50K.
The key terms in the TnC are Incremental Average Daily Balance (ADB) and Base-Line ADB. These two terms can deny depositors 1.25% bonus dividend if they are not careful.

I guess only the best brain here can have a good grasp of this campaign's TnC. rclxub.gif

Over the counter IBG Giro before 12pm is the most cost effective.
