HL bank and CIMB give gifts la... just sometimes we need to ask...
I have never received any gifts from Public bank, Citi Bank, Standard & Chartered

CIMB last time gave me 5 regular size umbrella..

I think is 60k or 70k, placed >2 years ago, cannot be sure now.

Stand Chart so far have received gifts when go in for their investments. FDs didn't give any gifts.

NID minimum was 100k maaaa.

To poor people like me 100k is a lot. Rich people (7 figure Boom, Top Flo etc etc) say >100k "Not much la, above 100k lor".

Agreed, just being sour grape. BR has been giving very good Div of >10% consistently. Whoever hold BR shares are so fortunate. Just look at their returns here.

Put in rm100k in 1997 and you will have rm1.2million today from which you can have the annual div income of rm180k for retirement expenses.

Great, is 1 of the strategy to portray a higher amount as advised by Top Goat previously also


AM Bank service has gotten really bad recently.
However, if you have PB, it was not too bad. Here are some of the benefits I experienced:
- free buffet at Concorde Hotel for participating in their customer experience feedback
- free meal from the RM, buffet at their PB centre
- I can sign & pre-approve transactions. If I am busy, I can just call her to authorize any transaction like withdrawal for UT
- I have gotten umbrella & food warmer for their FD promo
- PB gifts was Ceruti pen, diaries, notepad, leather baggage tag & wallet

Unfortunately, no special rate for FD even for PB.


Ya, guess will have to give it a miss though the rate is so high, 9%!
There are some fees, even on a monthly basis though but the final rate is still very attractive for ~100k


The main office is in Mid Valley, but they just opened an outlet near TTDI which was where I went.
But still don't feel comfortable putting money with them since no branches.

Not Public Bank, Ambank priority banking.
Yes, mostly during the launching of their priority banking except for notebook, leather wallet & luggage tag which I got recently.

I got the personalized service until the RM left 2 months ago, which until now I do not know who is her replacement.

The amount for priority banking was RM200k but now not sure as it is no longer stated on the web site.
Oh yes, free for life visa infinite given too.
