i understand from some forums that, decrese to the max it's still over more than 700. So, it wont qualify for any races.

GT5 Prologue "Spec II" Update (2) Information



Starting on Tuesday, April 15th, an update for "Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec II" has been started. The major contents of this update are as follows.

Online play
- The award of race credits are now allocated at a fixed rate regardless of the number of race participants.
- The High Speed Ring course diagram has been fixed.
- Some online ID's were appearing in grey in the entry list, this has been amended.
- Some online opponents appeared to "blur", this has been amended.

Rankings
- Country and area information now appears next to the online ID in the ranking boards.
- Unusually high scores had been recorded in some Drift Trials, this has been rectified.
- When Drift Trial replays were saved, occasionally these appeared in the "Load as Ghost" option of Time Trials.
This has now been rectified.

Performance Points (PP)
- The method of calculating Performance Points has been revised, to balance vehicles in events with PP upper limits.

Miscellaneous
- LCD display has been added in the F2007 interior view.
- Some interiors and exteriors of some vehicle models have been revised.
- On occasion the Quick Tune gear ratio became impossible to reset in some cars, this has been amended.
- The manual has been updated.

Caution
- The button assignments will be reset when the update is applied.
- In line with the application of the update, all ranking data will also be reset.

Can't wait to download the update. Hmm... what are the changes.. But, I would be happy if they fix the penalty system?

Stupid PD, the big problem was the penalty system, and nothing is fixed about it.. Japanese dont complain much do they ??

Anyway... If those of you who have gamespot accounts.. head over to GT5P Forum. I've started a weekly time trials "tournament" ... and the big prize is.. bragging rights..

Everyweek, someone will name a car and track.. all must be professional mode and aids off. By the end of the week, see who is the fastest lo.

I can confirm that the EU version is also receiving the update. Downloading it now. I thought the update had something to do with me deleting my game data for older games to free up space earlier on ( I thought I accidentally deleted GT5P!)

Not the fastest, can't achieve the high speeds like the Ford GT LM Concept car by GT..
But accelerates like a.. F1.

Turn down your speakers when you have the F1 and racing it on a track. It's loud. I mean, very very loud.

Thanks. Will try harder to steer. But if you watch the replay quite "fake" la. The F1 is just.. how do you say.. you don't have to brake much compared to the other cars.. In the Daytona Speed ring, you can even turn the corners without braking at all, travelling at about 350+ km/h. And still in good control.

Ok.. The highest performance point you can get is 983 points, where as the lowest you can get is 904 points. Not 700 points aaron . Or maybe did I miss out something ?

Lot's of stuff you can't adjust on the F1, like the weight, the horsepower, ride height etc.

The F1 can still steer in Daytona without braking because of downforce. The aerodynamics on an F1 car gives that characteristic. That's why F1 might not be the fastest but in terms of cornering ability it's second to none. The faster you go, the more downforce you generate (think reverse bernoulli's principle).

I think you missed out adding weights to the F1? Maybe then you might decrease the performance points further.

Nope. You can't change the weights in the performance menu. It's locked. Scheiss drauf !

If you notice my screenshot properly, you can notice that the dial that could be adjusted has a white outer shadowing, and the ones that couldn't be adjusted would just be black.

More reason for me to quickly save up and get the F1 car!!! Hopefully PD are preparing an all Ferrari F1 online event in the upcoming week?

Seems that the winning credits for the online event has been increased. I just won 5,000,000 credits for finishing 1st in the Daytona Superspeedway race (Pro). Only 3 cars were in that race though.
