If you notice the Type C video at the GTR garage scene,
The guy on the left, his leg seems to be inside the ground. Clipping problems This game looks promising. 50 cars and 5 tracks. I wonder how big is this game gonna be, GT:HD is already about 600 near 700 megabytes.. Not a problem with US, Japan and EU countries since they've fast connections for their downloads.. But for us.. :/ Meh.. It's still worth the download, if it's free, that is This post has been edited by adreanalyn: Aug 23 2007, 11:21 PM |

I never knew that Polyphony Digital had a contract to develop the multifunctional display of the upcoming GT-R .. That may be the cause why the GT-R appears in every one of the GT5 trailers.
Thats' why the display interface looks alot like the Gran Turismo UI. How cool is that Read it up here : http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Featu...rticleId=123066 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by adreanalyn: Oct 19 2007, 06:35 PM |

The demo is amazing. Period.
But I really hope PD will iron out the jaggies, tweak the shadows, and any other flaws when they release the final game. |

QUOTE(acougan @ Oct 20 2007, 05:33 PM) the blue cloth covering the hidden car in the showroom is very nice! Haha.. what happens next week, when all the cars are no longer hidden? i like looking at the blue cloth! LoL The black mask on the GT-R and the blue cloth does look realistic. FYI beneath the cloth lies the upcoming Subaru Impreza WRX.. |

QUOTE(kabuto rider kick @ Oct 20 2007, 07:22 PM) agree with adreanalyn, hope those jaggies gone for for good in the final build, looks terrible in the replay when the cars got sun heat, somehow the other GT5 demo looks better, less jaggies, more realistic(graphic wise) Sadly the Ferrari is not playable in the demo of the demo. (I wanted the Ferrari too and where are the cars?is there anyway we can use that ferrari?damn i want one QUOTE(Krovaxq @ Oct 20 2007, 08:31 PM) I have finished downloading and enjoyed! All we need is to wait for the Tokyo Motor Show (Oct.26) to come for the cars to be revealed and unlocked.Cilaka man i tot after win the races with all types of cars i can unlock the rest like GT:HD rofl.... skali tgk tiada apa pun T___T yeah from my guess, the car under the blue cloth should be the new imprezza (the short buntut 1) - agreed with above posters, the jagged shadow make things look unreal from its original form liao...hope to be removed soon! Overall verdict by me is, its a must have p/s : tiada cockpit R35 pula XD @ Arshad : it is 90% japanese >.<... took me more than 10 minutes to re-configure the controls lol, i wrote down the beginning of each assigned button, and swap with each other till i get my preset control haha (this will happen when Ninja is not anywhere around you) Anyone here tried changing the PS3 clock and see whether that works ? |

QUOTE(nizam80 @ Oct 21 2007, 12:11 AM) If there is one game that could steal most of my time, then this is that game! Can anybody please provide me a brief translation for the 'NEWS' section in the demo? hehe. The cockpit view really really look realistic... right down to the speedometer and tachometer needle!! I can even see the i-Drive GUI in the 1 series BMW! Guys, does this mean that come 26 Oct, all the remaining 3 cars will be automatically unlocked? About the cars, just have to wait About the translation for the news page : The first one is about the unveiling of the locked cars. It says that the game will have synchronized events with the upcoming 40th Tokyo Motor Show. And there might be changes to the cars between 23-25th of this month. And on the 23rd of October, at around midnight, the GT-R will be unveiled and may not be able to be driven. The second one is about Gran Turismo TV. It stated that GTTV will broadcast promotional movies of planned shows and free original shows for GT5P. It will be announced in the news section, therefore asking us to check it back regularly. It also states that you're not able to select GT-TV right now, as we speak. The third one is thanking you for downloading the demo of GT5P. It states that we're able to enjoy a portion of the prologue in advance of the Dec.13 release date. It also stated that (again) there will be synchronized unveiling events with the Tokyo Motor Show by having new cars to drive in the game, and the broadcast of the motor show coverage The text below it is the disclaimer notes, which are : - This demo is merely a small portion of GT5P which may differ from the final product - Online services cannot be used when offline - Upon release of the full GT5P, all online services in the demo (unveiling, GTTV, the news) will become unavailable) - If save game data is deleted after the completion of the online services, you may not be able to move pass the unveiling stage anymore. So please handle the save game with care. Thats' about it. |

Center console does look alike. So does the speedos.
The console is made by them, so as expected they'll include it in the game ![]() This post has been edited by adreanalyn: Oct 24 2007, 10:09 PM |

Guys, got my Japanese copy 5 days ago.
Been trying to update, but hell, it doesn't even complete half a bar. Tried out at around 1-2 in the morning as suggested by Ninja, but still no luck. Guess I'll be missing out the online races for sometime until I get to update it And regarding the F430 Mission Race, I think it was pretty easy for me, got a gold on my first try. Maybe it was a strike of luck that my team mate didn't suck Anyone here have the 599GTB ? It does amazing speeds (330km/h+ tried on the Daytona Speedtrack - Thru slipstreaming).. |

QUOTE(rx330 @ Jan 24 2008, 08:12 PM) 32.xx million credits for the 599.. A hell to earn. Even the F430 was already difficult (24.xx million credits) I got my F430 before even unlocking the B class events Been racing the C class London track on the Integra Type R non-stop to gain the credits to purchase the Ferrari. QUOTE(nizam80 @ Jan 24 2008, 08:27 PM) I have the same problem too during the first time i tried updating. Lastly at around 12 - 1am, finally the update is a success. Took me quite a lot of tries. What i did was, everytime the update fails, i exit the game, relogin to PSN, and try the update again... repeatedly until it finally succeed at around 1am. I guess its my luck. In my opinion, it's better not to overtake the first R8 before the second lap. Inspect how your team mate is doing first only you try to overtake him. If it doesn't go well, restart Regarding, the F430 mission race, how soon should i overtake the first R8?... I manage to overtake it during the 1st lap on the long straight before the last chicane... As soon as i reach the last chicane, i got an obvious chance of overtaking the 1st-place R8, but decided not to, as i wanted to slow down to allow my teammate to pass the R8 which i had just overtaken. Am i too slow or i should have overtaken the first R8 much earlier? For me, I didn't overtake the first R8 until I reach the second lap, just before the turning after the straight (the position grids). What I did was, I don't know was it actually cheating or not la, but I accidentally knocked the first-place R8 off. Not a strong bang so I only got about 3 seconds penalty, and that was the time that my team mate catched up. That was during the sharp turn after crossing under the bridge (I think you should know where this is, where there is alot of sand on the right side), where even your speed is limited to 50km/h because of the penalty, it doesn't really bother much. QUOTE(rx330 @ Jan 24 2008, 08:35 PM) Nope, not Daytona. Class C Sunday Track Day, London track Yup, raced a lot. After unlocking the B-class, I've been racing the Clubman Sports with the Ferrari F430, against the lower spec cars like Z4, Integra and the Clio V6.. Can beat them by a lap This post has been edited by adreanalyn: Jan 24 2008, 08:59 PM |

Something really funny happened to me in GT5P. I wonder if anyone here had experienced before.
Lost control on the Daytona Speedtrack A-class when two cars gangbanged me when doing the turning, and my Ferrari F430 spun 7 times in the air. Not exactly in the air, but it's like slunting.. You've to see the replays And then, the same thing happened when I was driving the 599GTB on the same event.. which spun more! I've both replays, if anyone wants them.. QUOTE(skyracer @ Jan 25 2008, 03:51 PM) How to extract the replay files?? You could extract them by first inserting a USB thumbdrive into your PS3's port, head to your desired save file / replay to be copied, press Triangle and select the Copy option. From there then you'll come across where you want your save game to be saved, and just select the USB thumbdrive.Btw, there was once I drive into a 5-6 cars massive pile-up while racing online... man that was fun to watch I've mine (the Ferrari cars spinning) uploaded at rapidshare, if any one wants them I can PM you the link and see whether it works on your PS3's. |

QUOTE(nizam80 @ Jan 26 2008, 08:25 PM) evoHahn, i'm looking forward for u to join us. Hoped that all of us are able to race together in the full GT5! Glad to know that you were able to view my replay files ! @ adreanalyn, i manage to view your replay files. It was hilarious to see the cars spinning continuously! Now maybe it's time to share our best laptimes or funny/hilarious replays. QUOTE(nizam80 @ Jan 27 2008, 11:28 AM) Hi apetdcm, That's exactly the same thing I did.U mean the Integra race at Daytona where u have to get 1st place from last position, in just 1 lap, rite? Here's what i did; Use other car's slipstream as much as possible, and when u have enough speed to execute an overtaking move, always overtake from the inside (overtaking cars from the left side), not from the outside. I have tried overtaking from the outside (overtaking cars from the right side), and i found it hard to place 1st. These are just my tips, and it worked ok for me. I'm sure others forumers here, have their own as well. You'll know that you're in the slipstream when there's no "wind" sound, and your acceleration will be much, much faster. |

QUOTE(convict @ Feb 10 2008, 04:09 PM) The only choice is Integra Type R. No other cars.Race to the first place by slipstreaming. That's the only way to conquer 15 positions in just one lap. There's a guide a few pages back, search for it |

QUOTE(aaron5829 @ Feb 11 2008, 10:42 AM) Convict, I honestly believe, you switch everything off and use manual gears are the fastest way of using the integra, no worries of the spinning tyres like the Ferraris or the Vipers. Mostly, it takes practice only. Seriously. How do you control the throttle and braking ? I use left stick to steer and right stick to accelerate and braking. In that way, i can apply how much i want on the throttle/brake. Added on February 11, 2008, 10:43 amOr, if you want , we can share replays to guide you through QUOTE(convict @ Feb 11 2008, 10:48 AM) Tailgating and overtaking the other cars & maintain your speed. And continue your slipstream. And turn off all the SM, TC and the AB like what aaron said, overrev the car till 9k only you switch gears. That way you could gain speed much faster than the others. Don't worry, the engine won't die on you Other than that, keep on practicing, and notify us how it goes. Good luck ! This post has been edited by adreanalyn: Feb 11 2008, 10:58 AM |

You can also download the top ten replays/ghosts. Good to know you made it into the top ten, aaron The rankings, is filtered by Arcade/Pro , Car, Tyre Types, Track. Added on February 11, 2008, 9:21 pmadreanalyn, how come ? The update just dont start is it ? It has been confirmed by a few guys in gamespot that, since they created a Japanese PSN ID, the update works flawlessly. Give that a try and let us know. Although i was using my singapore account to download, no problems. The update starts, but it halts and gives an error halfway. Just like everyone had but only for a few times. About the Japanese ID, I'll try that tonight. |
