Thx KLlee. Yea, only AP sets so far. My question was a little vague, sorry guys. So my question was, I can still update the OS when they release in say USA or some other country? How and where do I find the correct one to download?

Update over the air is targeted so if US have an upgrade only models release in US will have OTA update. However if you are rooted and have custom recovery then most likely not long after the OTA is made available to US, it will be available in custom ROM scene. Main discussion for any android related development u can refer to xda-developers forum. On how to know which is correct one, u just need to know your model, international set is most likely d802. Only use files thatare meant for d802 to be safe. However , sometimes they can be use across different model also.

QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ Dec 28 2013, 02:17 AM) I bought 3 Note 3s so far, but sold it like the next day. Can consider "help someone else buy" rather than I buy I stop that since last few month. Try to fully use the device 100% as daily driver. Z Ultra is my least favourite so far.

Thx Mikeee that helped. So those AP sets that we get here in M'sia are international D802?
If I understand correctly, if I am not rooted, I will not get an update if I hv a D802 version? This means the way is to root, or is there another way to it to get updates?

I dont think you should worry too much on the system update. SO far been using few android phones with stock roms. NO problem in getting updates as it is auto unless you rooted. Once the brand release the update, we will still get them no matter where we are.

Just to clarify a little more before I go get myself a G2, means even if the G2 is AP, there will still be updates we will still get the prompt?

AP means its not from official dealer and therefore no official warranty. Alternatively 3rd party warranty will be provided. The set will be the same as long the model number is the same.

That really depends where's the origin of the AP set. For example if the AP set is SG and LG SG release an update, u will get the update no matter where u are as long as u have internet . However if your AP set is from HK then u will not get the update even though you are in SG.

I have no idea about note 3 side. But my g2 could sense perfectly fine on the 'flesh' of my hand. Finger nail didn't work it out.

I've been eyeing this beast and thread for so long.. and I just had to ask before I buy it. I'm currently using Xperia . And i really really need durable battery. But I'm also outdoor-ish. So 1) is the Korean version or international better? Like, battery-wise (nonremovable but bigger mAh vs 2 smaller mAhs) etc etc.. 2) is it gonna be worth the trade from my Z? I mean, Stamina Mode and waterproof is great but I think can buy waterproof bag when I go outdoor-ing right.. or no?

Unless you care less about warranty.

QUOTE(ChrisWeiYuan @ Dec 26 2013, 09:56 PM) I am using korean version, but i didn't root the device as updates are frequently available for F320 version. and contented over the stock firmware. By far, i think thi sis one of the best phone of the year. So how u deal with those korean app? I feel irritating and dunno whether it consume any data or not. Do u know korean to login to the apps like LG Smart World?

Been experimenting flex Rayglobe rom for 2 days.. by far the smoothest rom i have test. Battery consumption also great.. Love the split view and the inverted theme for all the LG and system app. even quick remote is dark in theme The only thing is, I already miss G2 xposed tweak. So far not available for GFlex rom i guess.. any of u guys have tried flex rom with ui tweaks like in G2 xposed? P/s: Not yet settle with 1 rom. Jump here n there to find better rom.. share your experience with custom rom guys..

Just bought mine, D802 set Just two questions, first of all do you just need to charge the battery until it's full or do an 8-hour charge? Also, what are the must-get apps for it?
