Hi all,

I just got my G2 yesterday. coming from Galaxy Nexus, G2 is a monster

Been looking around for a good screen protector. Any of u guys put on tempered glass screen protector (Glass-M or any other brand). How is it? Saw some picture in xda forum, the SP didnt covered the entire screen (at least still got visible gab between each side). Or maybe there are better SP out there u guys can recommend?

Bought it at DirectD for rm1699 (Black 32GB). White they sell rm1649 for 32GB. Wonder why white cheaper

I have tried few AOSP based rom but comeback to use stock rooted rom Come from nexus phone background, i prefer to use vanilla android, but somehow i like few LG's apps included in the stock rom. Might give the stock rom few more round before trying other rom (stock based).

p/s: I think most here prefer stock rom + xposed tweak. U can give it a try too and let us know. I got installed G2 xposed in mine. Prefer recent button than menu button at the navigation bar

Its fairly easy to root this device. U can follow guide from here:

Then install xposed framework. Then u can try many xposed tweak available for G2. The one i use is here:

I also had the same dilemma last week

Finally decided for G2 because of bigger battery, bigger screen, better camera. But what a surprise, the stock software kinda nice too. And the knockOn knockOff (double tap) works like a charm.

If u really into vanilla android experience, u still can buy G2 and flash one of those aosp rom. There u are, u got nexus with better spec

G2 is nexus 5 brother from the same mother afterall

I have apply the Glass-M SP. Its doesnt cover the entire screen. Few time need to re-do just to align with the screen lit area

Using slim armor case does cover a bit those unprotected area

Ermm sound like a very interesting rom.. Gonna try my luck tonight Need to wait my night internet quota kick in.. Rom files for G2 so big!

I guess it caused by nexus 5 hehe.. people target to buy nexus 5 end up buying lg g2 instead..at least that happen to me.. been waiting n aim for nexus 5, but disappointed with its battery..

Any of u guys having difficulties pulling down notification from the top right side (battery, clock area).. i noticed mine was sometime seem cant detect touch input.. in camera mode also seem difficult to touch the flash setting.. Could it be rom related? I just installed worshipRom..

Looks like i gonna unroot back my fon. My firmware is from Hong Kong. There is a list of stock firmware here.

What is the different between HONG KONG and HONG KONG_OPEN_16G? What is Open_16G means if anybody here know about this? It is save to unroot with any of this? Thanks for info. Gonna send back for warranty after unroot this fon.

Been experimenting flex Rayglobe rom for 2 days.. by far the smoothest rom i have test. Battery consumption also great..
Love the split view and the inverted theme for all the LG and system app. even quick remote is dark in theme The only thing is, I already miss G2 xposed tweak. So far not available for GFlex rom i guess.. any of u guys have tried flex rom with ui tweaks like in G2 xposed?

P/s: Not yet settle with 1 rom. Jump here n there to find better rom.. share your experience with custom rom guys..

Now they have dedicated thread for flex rom here

Not interested in GFlex rom? Kinda same as stock G2 rom + split view feature
