From where did u bought that heatsink?
I don't think ALLIT sells Scythe heatsinks liao laugh.gif

The best is, u have to sell that heatsink first, then, grab the scythe infinity... rolleyes.gif

**didn't all of us told you to get other heatsink not that Fatality heatsink
Why don't u listen to our advice in the first place? shakehead.gif

I thought you've told us u're getting that G-Power Pro? blink.gif
Why didn't u bought that one?

Is it because the Fatal1ty heatsink look beautiful to u? doh.gif

3rd.. same as above.. looks sexy..
4th.. im n00b in choosing hardwares..
5th.. i forgot about the g-power pro
6th.. not too familiar with the shops and locations and what-shop-sells-what
afterall.. can i send to you to sell it for me.. and you send me a scythe infinity ?
*
No, sorry, i can't do that...
Zalman CPU coolers are the most hardest heatsink to be sold off...
[I'm talking bout their cpu coolers only, not their VGA coolers laugh.gif ]

Trust me, even if a trusted seller helps u in selling it, you won't get back you're RM250 for that Fatal1ty, you will get lower than that... laugh.gif

Hey people, I am looking for a good HS+F for socket 478 P4 2.8GHz (B). Budget is around 100, anyrecommendations??
*
You're budget is too low for a "GOOD" heatsink...
Up more la... wink.gif

QUOTE(soulfly @ Dec 18 2006, 11:40 AM)
but overpriced. i'd rather get the normal copper Zalman VGA cooler instead of the Fatal1ty series. it's basically the same, just less fancy
*
Yeah, that's right, oh well, look at the new Fatal1ty VGA cooler that comes with the heatpipe, the Fatal1ty version is around RM200!!! while the normal Full copper is just around RM165 IINM grumble.gif

Got my big tube of Arctic Silver 5 today... smile.gif
Applied it on my pentium d 930 and the Intel 975X chipset...

Now, the temp for the processor are 42degrees in idle [2 degrees higher compared to Arctic Seramique]

And the temp for the northbridge is 32degrees in idle... [2 degrees higher compared to Arctic Seramique]

Gonna wait for it to sink in first smile.gif

It need 60hours to sink in right?
My pc is a non turned off pc, so it'll take 3 days to sink in... icon_idea.gif

*
You've misunderstood what J-Slade says...
What he says is, ALLIT rip you about the price, not about the performance of the heatsink... laugh.gif

That G-Power Pro performs better than that Fatal1ty heatsink...
Trust me, don't fall for those Fatal1ty heatsink looks, they just look nice, but in performance, there's many heatsinks that can beat em... icon_rolleyes.gif

shawty, is the gigabyte G-PRO quiet? After seeing what you guys say, I am considering it, at least the price is acceptable, RM160 at moderno's.
*
You can choose the noise liao... laugh.gif

If you set it to run at the maximum speed, it will be noisy, if you set it to run at low speed, it will run quiet... wink.gif

You can control the speed of the fan... smile.gif

hi, just wanna share my experience here with my new 'aftermarket heatsink'!

Thermaltake BigTyp 120VX @ 2000rpm (stock fan)

Rig:
Intel c2d e6300 @ 2.8ghz 1.2v vcore
Gigabyte 965 ds3
Idle = 45c
Load= 54c (10 minutes ++ with orthos)
closed case = Gigabyte aurora 3d

Used AS5, so i guess, hopefully the results will be better in 60 hours time? tongue.gif

Happy camper for now. Thanks to sup3rfly and lolhalol for doing the heatsink review

I've put you in the list, but please update us after 200hours smile.gif

QUOTE(J-Slade @ Dec 19 2006, 02:47 PM)
@ sHawTY

Yo... previously my records were
J-Slade ~ Athlon64 3000+ @ 2GHz ~ Gigabyte G-Power BL ~ Idle 41°C, Load 49°C
I sold off my G-Power BL already  blush.gif

Now using Thermalright XP-90

J-Slade ~ Athlon64 3000+ (s754) @ 2.01GHz ~ Thermalright XP-90 + Nidec TA350D 92mm fan ~ Idle 40°C, Load 48°C

Not much difference huh? Anyway I sold off my G-Power cos I couldn't stand the bright blue LED ><

I guess for socket 754 Athlon processors, the heat problem cannot be ever solved (unless water cooling la  sweat.gif ) So I guess these are my optimum temperatures already... anyway.. do add me up to the list yea?

You're details has been updated smile.gif

how is Thermalright XP-120 compare to BTVX?
gigabyte 3d rocket looks quite nice, how it performed?
This is for c2d 775 setup
*
XP120 performance depend on the type of fan u're using...
If the CFM of the fan that u're using is high, i'm sure that it'll beat that BTVX wink.gif

err...probably your thermal paste not equally distributed?
hence there's a slight variation between the two cores?

but it's only 3deg...i wouldn't worry too much bout it...

Believe me, 3degrees is not something that you should take it lightly, 3 degrees is "a lot" smile.gif
