Maybe you might expect 1-2 week earlier before SG official launch would have the price drop again.

i uses third party service to helps me buy in Cari forum. i think you can find similar reseller / agent to help to you from Tmall (aka taobao) China in lowyat.

rate charged 1.70, shipping RM31 for package below 2kg, if im not wrong.

here you are:

Just a heads up. The shipping charge is quite high, compare to agent in this forum. Lowest is only RM9 per KG. Not an agent myself but just to inform. smile.gif

It will depend on how well they do in Singapore because no lte will cause a lot of people not to buy the phone in Singapore especially one that cost almost 3 times more than Hongmi.

rm9 - rm12 is for normal goods shipping only, phone are classified as sensitive goods which are air shipping prohibited by right.

rm31 those are called sensitive goods shipping method, e.g if buy sth got magnet, sxx toy, etc. but no paying customs tax and not an official channel. the shipper are mixing sensitive goods with normal goods pack together, hoping to bypass customs inspection. therefore no 100% guarantee passing out. there has been case reporting in other forum ppl paying sensitive goods fees but end up hold by customs.

My bad did not realise this. But sensitive goods is around 18 to 20 here per KG. Though, the item being bought in this case was a Powerbank, no? Don't see why a powerbank would be deemed as a sensitive goods. I once bought one through normal shipping without problem.

im using it now! awesome! Brought it RMB89 (RMB79 +RMB10 shipping) instead from Xiaomi official reseller (Tmall) with ready stock!

on other hand, i have this plan in mind since im flying to SG end of March. Brought AA zero fare long time ago!

Xiaomi Mi3 selling SGD419 (included 7% GST).
Buy Mi3 from Starhub (prepaid package) SGD419 (RM1,110.35) and claims back refund 7% SGD29.33 (assume rate at RM2.65 @ RM77.72), net price = RM1,032.63.

hehe...  icon_rolleyes.gif

bcoz powerbank got battery, battery is actually prohibited by air shipper as it is easily flammable (whether in country or cross country air delivery)

as long as the stuff got battery, got magnet, these things r easily detected while clearing customs, but u know m here custom efficiency... don't play this with sg customs though. some ppl wrap with aluminium foil biggrin.gif

some logistic co. already mention if sending sensitive goods without first declaring it to them especially without paying 'additional fees to them', once it get caught, the whole stuffs (not just yours) get hold up by customs (custom not just hold your little stuff, they hold up a large batch of delivery stock to find up slowly later, can be months), the logistic co. can ask damages from you. just those agent sometimes wanted fast bisness without informing consignee clearly about this risk.

customs can either confiscate (if totally illegit e.g adult sxx toy) or ask customs duties from u. some ppl just discard that bcoz duties too much and has to prove the dutiable value.

for powerbank (low value stuff) it is ok to try, but for phone i would say i won't even wanna try sensitive channel, especially those cooperate with abx delivery company (if check other forum, u would know some co. already in target eye by customs, just a matter of time if picking your stuff). if phone get caught, not just customs duties, also need sirim approve, end up paying too much.
