As for me, I am selling it off due to its size, a bit too big to my liking.. I guess 4.3-4.7 is the sweet spot. Since I am using mi2s for quite Sometimes, I find out mi3 a little too big. However, overall, it is still an excellent device; superb batt life, super screen, superb camera, lowlight included smile.gif

Dear interested buyers of xiaomi mi3,

I have a warning for you.
A lot of sellers in Malaysia are actually selling units which have been flashed with another version of MIUI that contains play store and SuperSU.
You will not be able to do system updates on this version.

Reason they do this is to easier sell to buyers which do not know how to install google service from mi store.

Please see the official MIUI version which is present on hazard_puppet's mi3.

Appreciate if TS can post this up to warn others also

What do u need to flash back,  just the updater app?

What's your feedback on this phone?
*
I have no idea coz i tried myself but no avail.
They managed to flash it to the developers rom.
After that its fine, i can switch in between the stable and developers rom.

I can see any difference between the 2 roms . . .. hmm.gif

Guys, anyone here uses wechat or tango to do online call on the mi3 ?
I am unable to turn on the speaker when I m on video call
Any solution to this ?

Also I feel the volume on headphones is a bit low. Any apps to boost the volume ? All the apps I found in play store has ads in it and it doesn't work.

I'm using the latest Developer rom, one interesting feature is that you can give root permission to apps.. does it mean I can use any app that needs root?
*
Yes, as the name implied its for developers
it has root access

The developer rom is a "rooted" version
its for developers, so root is a prerequisite
you do not need to root it anymore . . . .

Every Friday will receive update (i m updating right now)

to install Play Store, go to Mi Market and search for Google Service, install it.
If this is too complicated for you (i doubt so..... but all kind of people exists), go flash Singapore rom
