QUOTE(nuttyking91 @ Oct 12 2013, 12:14 AM) they need a nationwide recall I think recall not applicable because some are not affected like kingsora and few other member. Usually recall is when all is affected. |

QUOTE(manypplwan @ Oct 12 2013, 07:49 PM) I am willing to send by myself as I'm studying in Banting. But now I'm at home in Penang. I guess I'll send it next week after holiday. But I lost the receipt though, and my phone is 4 months old already As long it's local set they will verify warranty with the imei no. |

QUOTE(facade88 @ Oct 14 2013, 03:47 PM) So that's why I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I may acquired a problem free unit *touchwood*. I'm really in love with the phone already, aside from the minor quirks like heating up when using it for games/surfing for extended periods. Better test the camera to get it repaired ASAP. Heat is unavoidable, especially gaming. Look at the bright side, SGS4 heats up because of the AMOLED technology, I'm just viewing 9GAG app and it heats up. LOLHTC One is a good phone if there's no purple camera issue. |

My brother owns a HTC One in US, same purple tint problem.my friend bought australia version of HTC one... no problem whatsoever... dont judge a phone by its problem that only occurs mostly to malaysian units. |

QUOTE(xela0622 @ Oct 15 2013, 07:29 PM) AHH, I bought my ONE from Digi, and now its having the purple tint camera issue. There's no "factory" in Shah Alam AFAIK, only BTS & Kelana Jaya SC by HTC. Better call HTC hotline to arrange. They also got UPS pick up service.Factory reset is not doing any good. So, I need send it back in for the camera replacement or better yet just try to ask for a phone replacement. My question is, I should go back to Digi, or I should go to the Shah Alam HTC Factory? And, anyone else has encounter the same camera issue even after the camera replacement? AHH SHIT, ONE used to be so great, but now, im really dissapointed |

QUOTE(kahyeec @ Oct 16 2013, 07:08 AM) Welcome to the club . I got mine End of May 2013. its been going to the Service center 2 times already. First time Purple tint on 18th of August 2013. after 1 month I got it back and the documents say they replaced "Screen , Speaker and Camera" . I assume they broke it while opening the case and it has some sort of superglue stain on the screen gaps. The salesperson turned it on and it has a small group of finger print sized blue pixels on the screen. so on the spot he re-send it back. And I have been waiting ever since. So it shows that : 1. HTC technicians did not check their work - just power it on and anyone should notice the screen blue specks but decide to send it out anyways I suppose. 2. They break things during the repair. 3. They did not test the spare parts first before fitting it in. 4. Your chance of getting it back beautifully is slim as they will use glue and stuffs to cover up their shoddy work. 5. Even if you get back your set, there is no guarantee they fixed it and maybe even broke other parts. I have multiple phones so this is a small matter to me but I will not trust HTC Malaysia (SIS) for any repairs. They already screw up my phone as far as I can tell with the brief moment I have with it before it is sent off again. So I am playing the waiting game and see if they gave me a new set or just fix it again. and if it is fixed again with superglue sticking out from the sides. I will send it back again and again and I have SengHeng insurance , after 1 year I will just bug SH to give me a Samsung S5 or something of 2099 value. QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Oct 16 2013, 09:56 AM) Why don't you call HTC Line and ask, then tell us in this thread?QUOTE(kahyeec @ Oct 16 2013, 11:40 AM) Mine is send thru Seng Heng so i am not sure where they send it to. Brother, looking at your case, you can file tribunal already. After you file tribunal they will take you very seriously. My phone also same, send 1st time for purple tint, came back not fixed. Send 2nd time, they promise 5 days return to me, fail to return, went tribunal, settle out of court, I getting a refund. But shoddy repair work i tell you . Thats why i send it back. I cannot talk to their senior rep because the 1800889855 line is just a general care line. They even ask u to wait for them while they check the status of your phone and then reply to you. If you rush them then they give you this superglue sticking , blue speck screen LCD kind of work loh. So i dont even bother . Some forumer here already said complain to HQ Taiwan also they refer u back to Malaysia SIS. https://ttpm.kpdnkk.gov.my/portal/index.php/en/ Make an enquiry with your full story, then they will respond whether can file or not. Filing only cost RM5. You can file at any court near to you. Everything can be done online, and you just need to appear on the hearing day. |

QUOTE(aloy88 @ Oct 16 2013, 03:27 PM) Nothing, just the original handset. They will check IMEI.QUOTE(faidz85 @ Oct 16 2013, 03:52 PM) Actually, I find the CS not bad at all from my past experiences. It is a hardware problem... firmware will not fix it. CSR bullshitting you. Probably their service centre got hundreds of HTC One lined up to repair they can't cope. This morning I send them an enquiry about the purple tint issue and their CSR contacted me. I will be waiting for the new firmware update before sending my unit for repairs. The CSR that I talked to said that the new firmware should try to adress the issue for the camera. |

QUOTE(asherapth @ Oct 16 2013, 03:22 PM) so this mean that even a 1on1 change also can't guaranteed to fix the purple tint unless i ask them to chance the camera module right? There's a new part number for the Ultrapixel camera that came out roughly this month (October) that fixes the purple tint camera. If the new phone has the camera with new part number, then its fixed. |
