I think recall not applicable because some are not affected like kingsora and few other member. Usually recall is when all is affected.

Better test the camera to get it repaired ASAP. Heat is unavoidable, especially gaming. Look at the bright side, SGS4 heats up because of the AMOLED technology, I'm just viewing 9GAG app and it heats up. LOL

HTC One is a good phone if there's no purple camera issue.

I mean how old is your unit when you send in? Before this HTC only allow 1 to 1 exchange within 14 days from purchase date...

There's no "factory" in Shah Alam AFAIK, only BTS & Kelana Jaya SC by HTC. Better call HTC hotline to arrange. They also got UPS pick up service.

Purple tint is a known issue. Send for warranty. When you bought your HTC One?

I have multiple phones so this is a small matter to me but I will not trust HTC Malaysia (SIS) for any repairs.
They already screw up my phone as far as I can tell with the brief moment I have with it before it is sent off again.
So I am playing the waiting game and see if they gave me a new set or just fix it again.  and if it is fixed again with superglue sticking out from the sides. I will send it back again and again and I have SengHeng insurance , after 1 year I will just bug SH to give me a Samsung S5 or something of 2099 value.

Brother, looking at your case, you can file tribunal already. After you file tribunal they will take you very seriously. My phone also same, send 1st time for purple tint, came back not fixed. Send 2nd time, they promise 5 days return to me, fail to return, went tribunal, settle out of court, I getting a refund.

Make an enquiry with your full story, then they will respond whether can file or not. Filing only cost RM5. You can file at any court near to you. Everything can be done online, and you just need to appear on the hearing day.

It is a hardware problem... firmware will not fix it. CSR bullshitting you. Probably their service centre got hundreds of HTC One lined up to repair they can't cope.

There's a new part number for the Ultrapixel camera that came out roughly this month (October) that fixes the purple tint camera. If the new phone has the camera with new part number, then its fixed.

False, Its a hardware issue, can occur whenever. One trigger seems to be heat.
