"Now HTC has officially acknowledged the problem in an email reply to the
Italian website HDBlog. The company says that the problem is caused by a specific combination of conditions and that it’s working on a software update to alleviate it."
With the exception of Android Origin, ALL of them cite their sources from one blog, and CNET claims to confirmed it with HTC, apparently. But as you can see, HTC DID NOT make ANY official statement. So it is merely a rumor mill that started off with HDBlog.it.
STOP SPREADING RUMORS.
I am a HTC One owner myself and I wish it was true that it is fixable via software but until HTC themselves make any statement, they are all just smoke and mirrors.
