File tribunal. Faulty camera has nothing to do with bootloader. They cannot deny you warranty

Bro I think your phone 3 weeks already? Still delay? Go file tribunal lor, crazy man... phone repair so long! They should just give you a new one.

Why waste time, go file tribunal and you will get your money back.

Register a/c = 3 minutes
Complete form and send enquire = 3 minutes

wait for reply = 1 to 2 days

Complete claim form, pay RM5 and send = 10 minutes

Go to the shop you buy from and give them 1 copy of Form 1 and 3 copies of Form 3, get them to chop on your Form 1 = 20 minutes? depends how far is the shop.

Court day will be roughly 2 weeks from the date you file submission.



Appear in court on the at least 30 minutes the stated time and date, register yourself = 5 minutes
Wait for your turn = 30 minutes
state your case to the judge = 15 minutes give or take
wait for judge to award you your victory = they have to refund you or give you back your phone within a reasonable amount of time as decided by the judge.

Of course not 100%. But if you have a valid case
e.g. you send repair 1st time for 3 weeks, come back still spoil, you send 2nd time and now 4 weeks they haven't give you back your phone, you will most likely win.

If you never send the phone for repair and demand for a new phone, you definitely won't win.

This world where got anything 100% one. The only sure things in life is death and taxes.

Based on what I read, you will win
Its only RM5 for file tribunal, no harm trying. The camera issue is a HARDWARE problem.

Well, there's no need to debate, you just need HTC to write you to say
1. Your unit has a camera hardware problem
2. Your warranty is void because of ........
3. How much you have to pay to repair the camera hardware problem

You just tell HTC, if they void your warranty, you want it in writing.

AFTER you do that step either a. they give it to you in writing OR b. they don't.

Either way, you have a case with tribunal. With this letter, when you go tribunal, you will win already. Without the letter also you can win, because it is unlawful to void your warranty without a valid reason what. If its void, then they can give black and white stating why, if they cannot give a black and white document stating why then they are denying you warranty that you should rightfully get.

If I sell you a Macbook Air, you delete Mac OS X and install Windows, and the screen spoil, I cannot deny you warranty right?

Same logic bro.

EDIT: And HTC won't dare to lie in court, at least they didn't lie in my case, they admitted the original part number had a hardware issue.

Its MAYBE. Now that you (HTC) say it is void, please state in black and white WHY unlocking bootloader voids the warranty of a physical hardware problem with the camera.

They are not right. Because his HTC One was already faulty before he unlocked the bootloader. He just didn't know it.

You can try and claim warranty, good luck.

Just call HTC helpline. Whatever you do don't ask any of us cause we have no clue. You can only call HTC to ask.

Call and ask. No harm trying.

If not mistaken they use UPS, by right its next day delivery, call them and ask. If they ship today probably Friday you get it.

And for that idiot who say law in Malaysia, I already said, I won, and many other people also won. Tribunal court is different, there's no lawyers allowed, no jury, just a judge who will hear your story and decide.

joytest Sure, sharing is caring. Hope more people know that tribunal is effective and we have rights despite what the "T&C" says. For RM5 to file a tribunal, there is absolutely no harm trying.

The more of you guys have a VALID case to file tribunal against HTC..the better for everybody. Then the tribunal courts will really know that HTC One really got problem and HTC is screwing people over, and it'll get easier and easier for everybody to get better service.
