I meant that it could be coincidence that you may not be very active (moving your arms around much) the last time you wore it hence it ran out of juice earlier that expected.

as my understanding, if im not wearing it example for 1day, it will stop. coz automatic watch stored energy from the wearer's arm.

means i need to wear everyday, unless put in the winding box.

is it correct ?

When you move your arms with the watch on.... the rotor inside the movement swings about winding the mainspring. Akin those wind up toy cars but instead of winding it up manually, its would by the motion of the rotor.

Now the thing is its not really about how long your wear it or how often you wears it. It's more like how active you were when wearing it (to move the rotor)

For example, if you wore it for 10 minutes a day playing badminton is surely going to fully wind up the spring vs if you wear it for 12 hour sleeping.

Fully wound, your watch should be running for ~38hours.

Unless your watch has a power reserve dial, you won't know.

To restart, you can manually wind it. Unscrew the crown and wind the crown around ~30 turns or so.

OR

Hold your watch and swirl it as if you were throwing a frisbee.... only don't actually throw it against the wall laugh.gif

Set date and time accordingly.

I was once told setting the date, the proper way is first set the hour hand to 6:30 am. then push the crown in to adjust the date to current date.
Finally, adjust to current time before crew in the crown entirely

After you unscrew the crown, lets call this Position 0 -

-> turn crown clockwise to wind the watch.

Pull the crown up one notch, lets call this Position 1
--> turn the crown to change the date. Be careful never to change the date between 9 to 3 o'clock to avoid damaging the mechanism inside.

Pull the crown up another notch, lets call this Position 2
--> Turn crown clockwise (try not to go the other way round) to change time. Usually what I'll do is just change the time when the watch stopped for just a day or 2 and the date will change by itself.

Note that the watch won't know whether its AM or PM. Like your watch stopped yesterday.. just wind it until date switched to 17th. Since the time now is 4.33PM don't just stop at the time cos it will be AM continue turning another circle (notice the date won't change now) until the correct time.

Push your crown back on and make you screw it tight but not too tightly until next time you loose skin unscrewing it.

Living out of a suitcase for two weeks now. Sucks.

Thinking of swapping the bracelet for leather strap. Hirsch, perhaps. Or anyone have any suggestions on what leather straps can fit the smaller speedy? Looking for a strap with material similar to that of the LLD, if possible...

Looks good for RM70. Will head to Amcorp when I am back in town, thanks for the tip! Don't think it came with deployant, right? For that money, I don't mind if it wears out over time.

Btw, the speedy pro is 41mm with larger lug size, isn't it? I think my triple date is 39mm with a smaller 18mm lug size. Need to check.

the deployant is a hirsch.
ya speedy pro is 20mm lugs.
speedy reduced is 18mm, so triple date could be the same...or maybe 19mm if you're unlucky tongue.gif

Hirsch does have 19mm straps, so worse come to worse, I guess I'll get it off their site. Would you recommend deployant? Or not a necessity? I find there is an old school charm to strapping on a watch that the deployant tool kind of negates away.
