Just asking guys, how much does Audemars charge or how much does a watch with the owner's name carve on the dial worth?

*please don't tell me it cannot be done cause I'm holding one right now.  tongue.gif

No one said it cannot be done. Case back engraving is very common, but I don't think they are usually done by the manufacturer, even JLC sources the services of a third party artisan for Reverso engravings.

A watch with engraved case back would probably be worth less than one without.

unless the person's name is like Elvis or Marylin Monroe...
then anything with a personal touch IMO would be 20-30% less than market price.
taking into account that a buyer / seller may want to change the dial back to original to make it more desirable, sent back to service center etc etc, and once done already it's considered a redial which usually devalues it a little more.

im sure that person doesn't intend to sell the watch. but how much does it cost to get your initials engraved on the dial instead of the back.

Hehe. Grey market unit as hard to get retail unit for this model in Singapore. Last time I asked, need several months of wait. Moreover, no different between grey and local except for price different.

Oh sori missed out the dial. You didn't happen to get that at a pawn shop did you? I would be very careful...being in possession of stolen goods would be quite risky.

You can just stroll in to your boss' room and get a close up look at his AP, and yet you choose to ask a q regarding it in a forum full of dubious characters? Are there trust issues between you and him?
