Scientifically true. But I'm not a scientist.. talking about monkeys... I got craving for big yellow banana.

Since this is a watch discussion..

Hello guys I'm looking to buy a Tag Heuer Carrera Heritage Calibre 16 (CAS2112.FC6291)

Any recommended shop I can visit? I recently went to the Tag in KLCC, they offered me 15% discount. Though almost every single Tag boutique is offering the same thing lol.
*
Can get more discount than that... go places with cheaper rental lah.. or less laku place.. rclxub.gif

We discuss a lot about men watch. I need suggestion here for ladies watch.

Budget: RM6,000
Type: Prefer with chrono function
Strap: Leather
Movement: Prefer Swiss made

This watch is for my gf birthday.
*
Are you sure she'll like chrono function watch? Rather than a dressy watch? Cause I assume she will be wearing nice dresses with heels and a chrono would look...out of place.

She already got a few dress watch from DKNY, D&G, Guess & Fendi. Brought her window shopping few days ago, and the one she like is IWC Pilot Top Gun sweat.gif

Can't afford that time piece for sure. Reason she like chrono because it is for her daily use.
*
Her dress watches, all fashion watches, and now she wants an IWC for a daily beater? All I can say is, WOW. Impressive upgrade of tastes, I assume she learned it from you. Not sure to feel joy or pain for you though since you're paying. Hahaha.

Anyway, I don't think there's many choices for a chrono for ladies size, it will probably be 38mm smallest for a chrono like Zenith El Primero. For that look.. how about Oris BC4 Chrono? 45mm in size. The IWC Top Gun is 46mm.

Yes, your friend might be right.
Buy Rolex, wear it for 10 years, sell back the same price as you bought.
Only can happen to Rolex (usually sport models).

1887 should be around rm18k+.
cal16 already rm15k+.
*
cal16 got two ma, the 43mm and the 41mm
41mm would be slightly cheaper.

How we measure whether that brand is good or not?
*
You can't. Its subjective. And it depends from which angle the person is looking at.

Despite the fact the snob and anyone else who bashes Tag Heuer for its silly marketing ad spend, its mass manufactured watches on a production line, its *in house movement* which was conceived in Japan..

Nobody, can, however say that it does not have a racing pedigree. And if you view from that angle, Tag Heuer is good. However, if you look at it from a watch making, haute horology angle.. they are a just doing in house and innovation for brand recognition, such as their belt driven movement, yet their mass watches sold are just ETA wrapped in a nice casing.

So I made the mistake of looking up a watch brand in another thread, and this piece made me say "f**k it, its 1/3 the price of the JLC moonphase, it has an in-house movement, beautifully decorated, minus seconds hand of the JLC which makes it even dressier and cleaner, BUY IT!"

user posted image

Any reason not to? Hmm. Drama, and that stupid BLNR.. that's my grail babeh.. that bezel just pops!

and wow, youngsters will love this
