it's hard to say but the chances is definitely higher bcs today is the first day of the new promo week. i also just bought rm300 cash vouchers today. means if my rm30 cash rebate were one of the first rm50k, then i will receive it.

10% and still not a sure CB, not worth it in my opinion. There are better choice if one has the right card like HLB Wise.

Sorry to ask if the UOB ONE rebate is calculated based on statement month like OCBC or calendar month like MBB2 AMEX?

i think we need your enlightening on uob's new requirement for annual fee waiver (especially on platinum cc):

Need to swipe minimum 1 time per month AND spend RM36K or RM60K depending on Card Type.

1) for a person who earns rm36k annually, they need to spend rm36k to waive the annual fee?
2) for a person who earns rm60k annually, they need to spend rm60k to waive the annual fee?

what is the logic/idea/reason behind this requirement?
how can a person spend everything that they earn?

36 k or 60 k is minimum requirements and minimum spending. Someone that earns 5k per month can spend 36 k per year. If just earn 36 k per year and unable to spend 36 k on credit card, he can go to apply classic card. No need spend 36 k per year.

Bank just a company that try to make money out from you. So, if this bank not provide the service that meet your criteria, just jump ship. smile.gif

Really no point to think about the logic on their requirement. We feedback our concern on that, and they remain, we just switch... May be they like to recover back what you get from the 5% petrol rebate via annual fee charge. LOL

Hi,

First, For all UOB credit card, first 2 years AF are WAIVED automatically except for Visa Infinite which is first year. Second, If your previous payment are nice and on time, basically are waived for the rest of following years.

Then, read this part. IF any bank still charging you on annual fees, who else bother to apply for credit card? Bank wants customer, if anything happen, just call customer service, they will really trying to hold you and value you as a classy customer to our bank. Basically, also can waive one. Plus, bank wont simply let go of a customer because of the annual fees. Bank earn from alot prospect. smile.gif

Thanks.

Understand that annual fee for Hong Leong wise card cannot be waived after the first year as their monthly cash rebate is one of the best being offered. Whilst people does not like to pay the annual fee, the cash rebate is too good for now until more competition of similar or better offer from other banks

Hi, i understand the your point. I have cleared your curiosity regarding our bank.

I agree. Nowadays, the competitive between bank to bank are very strong and rising the attention of cc benefits seeker. With a right/warm customer service, i do believe, users will stick to what they they likey used to not because of the benefits itself only, but also the customer services. Thank you.

thanks for the feedback on annual fees.
so, in conclusion, we need to call to the CS every year in order to waive the annual fees, is that right?

how about the GST charges (RM50)?
last year, I managed to waive it by swiping 3 times within 45 days. however, to receive that offer, we need to tell the CS that we would cancel the card.
is there anyway to receive that offer without repeating the same word this year?

I have requested for reissue of card to me already 2 - 3 weeks, still have no reply or mail from UOB. I think they did not follow up my case.

Regarding Gst, at first thy will charge at you first then only debit out from your account. If u fulfill the condition, the most 3months they will settle and state in your statement. Shall be no problem at all. Annual fees, if you have good payment on it, basically just do a short call to CS, they will pandai pandai waive for you. Bank value customer as gold mine, without customer bank would collapse.

Reissue why? Lost card? In this case, call to customer service will be the fastest solution. Don't blame salesman because it's different department duty. Or I can look into your case, jut pm me.
