What is the criteria for FREE Annual Fee for UOB ONE card holder?
If per previous sharing, where ONE Platinum need to spend RM36,000 per annual, it sound like a lot of people can't make it happen. And call to request for free annual fee is something troublesome. Could UOB revive the term for free annual fee?

I mean annual fee, not RM50 gov tax.

Now UOB doing a First 2 year annual fees WAIVING promotion for this One Card. I Didn't say all card.

Did anyone get the 10% cash back for groceries until end of this month promo SMS? Need to spend at least RM 250 in a single receipt. I'm wondering which grocery stores are eligible, and what's the cap of the cash back. Can't find any terms on the website.

Haha , same same here.

I applied for one card but CS said i qualified for plat one card but i said don't want cos need to swipe 36k to waive AF & she said no worry cos 1k per month also can waive.

After 2 weeks i call to check application status & other CS said my application not found/ still under process.

Yesterday i called found out my application already cancel due to incomplete document & i ask why didn't inform me earlier? CS just silent & ask me to check with the UOB sales girl.

I email her & she also shocked & ask me to wait few days but i give them till today & if no feedback, i will cancel it.

What a stupid UOB.

Any other card got the best cash rebate exclude citi & oub?

Alright Sir, which card were you apply? Preferred Platinum? I may help you re-do the applications and i need you submit enough document to support your cc approval. Shoot me in pm.

i think we need your enlightening on uob's new requirement for annual fee waiver (especially on platinum cc):

Need to swipe minimum 1 time per month AND spend RM36K or RM60K depending on Card Type.

1) for a person who earns rm36k annually, they need to spend rm36k to waive the annual fee?
2) for a person who earns rm60k annually, they need to spend rm60k to waive the annual fee?

what is the logic/idea/reason behind this requirement?
how can a person spend everything that they earn?

Hi,

First, For all UOB credit card, first 2 years AF are WAIVED automatically except for Visa Infinite which is first year. Second, If your previous payment are nice and on time, basically are waived for the rest of following years.

Then, read this part. IF any bank still charging you on annual fees, who else bother to apply for credit card? Bank wants customer, if anything happen, just call customer service, they will really trying to hold you and value you as a classy customer to our bank. Basically, also can waive one. Plus, bank wont simply let go of a customer because of the annual fees. Bank earn from alot prospect. smile.gif

Thanks.

Understand that annual fee for Hong Leong wise card cannot be waived after the first year as their monthly cash rebate is one of the best being offered. Whilst people does not like to pay the annual fee, the cash rebate is too good for now until more competition of similar or better offer from other banks
*
Hi, i understand the your point. I have cleared your curiosity regarding our bank.

I agree. Nowadays, the competitive between bank to bank are very strong and rising the attention of cc benefits seeker. With a right/warm customer service, i do believe, users will stick to what they they likey used to not because of the benefits itself only, but also the customer services. Thank you.

thanks for the feedback on annual fees.
so, in conclusion, we need to call to the CS every year in order to waive the annual fees, is that right?

how about the GST charges (RM50)?
last year, I managed to waive it by swiping 3 times within 45 days. however, to receive that offer, we need to tell the CS that we would cancel the card.
is there anyway to receive that offer without repeating the same word this year?
*
Regarding Gst, at first thy will charge at you first then only debit out from your account. If u fulfill the condition, the most 3months they will settle and state in your statement. Shall be no problem at all. Annual fees, if you have good payment on it, basically just do a short call to CS, they will pandai pandai waive for you. Bank value customer as gold mine, without customer bank would collapse.

you requested by calling the cs or via email?

Reissue why? Lost card? In this case, call to customer service will be the fastest solution. Don't blame salesman because it's different department duty. Or I can look into your case, jut pm me.

If they proceed to cancel the card, do we still have to pay the GST? since it has been charged..
*
From my case, all my customer entitle to waive it within period of 3 months with condition 3 transactions in 60days. In your case, if you fulfill the gst waiver, it shall be no problem as long as the transaction have made before cancel. If you got your new card and cancel straight, usually bank will still charge on you because it's an act practice by our gov, once card issued, gst applied. Not bank charging on you. Hope this statement helpful to you.

Just too bad when they reduce the capping to RM500 now instead of RM600 for my case...

So I took the Maybank2Cards..

Best combo...

Weekday - One Card
Weekend - MBB Amex...
*
one card with no condition, you can use it 24/7 capping at 500 per month.
MBB Amex for weekend to fully utilize the benefits offered.
