Let's see what can UOB do better to improve their UOB ONE Visa or intro a special cash-back card

UOB ONE Card Visa (old look)

UOB's BT program has disadvantage... you must pay everything on Final Date
i.e. pay earlier, you get charge & pay late, you get charged.

You should have "insist" on the Classic card....

Same same.... maybe should try on weekdays

1. 5% Petrol Rebate credited in the same month i.e. on Statement Date

I've also received this SMS today. Cancellation request on 6-Jan-2014.

Here's the info I "extracted" from the UOB CS

First come, first served basis
Max rebate given RM50,000 per week [10-16 Jan / 17-23 Jan / 24-30 Jan]
Rebate capped per cardholder : RM50 per week
Only at Tesco, AEON BIG, Giant, Cold Storage, Jaya Grocer
Rebate will be credited within 6 weeks after 30-Jan-2014

Very vague... if it's based on MCC code.... then those AEON/Parkson/Isetan/Robinsons/Tangs could be included. Maybe the previous CS is "making" assumption

Don't really bother... unless it's "sure-win".
Going to proceed to cancel my UOB ONE Card... ignore the retention SMS (langsung no personal touch)

Finally my UOB ONE Card cancelled and does not appear on UOB Online Banking portal... since I didn't response to their "unpersonalized retention SMS"

That's indeed a very good offer... do they give you RM150 upfront or RM50 x 3 years (how to argue on the 2nd and 3rd year)
