I didn't see any trouble on my side.
I already filed maxis into TTPM, the consumer court.
Maxis cannot hire lawyer to defend in the court, it is a consumer court used to protect customers, not the big boss.
I lose, and lose a "unlimited" account. I lost nothing else and since it will be 4gb, nothing big deal for me anymore. But i win, maxis lost a lot, their name and some money for them.
Of course i wish it can be settle outside the court to meet win win solution.

we wouldnt knw whether such clause is valid until its challenged.

with the advent of amendment to the Consumer protection Act 2010, should these clause be considered unfair contract terms in light that these involves consumer contract of essentials service and standard in nature by a service provide having much more bargaining power than the frail and powerless consumer.

maxis offered we buy, simple as that. they label their product unlimited, and there you go, the source of such strong demand,

It is their responsibility to filter and approve potential applicants for this package, apparently they fail, because thay are too GREEDY to turn down every applicants.

so,after lures in their enormous revenue (most of them even have 2 YEARS CONTRACT), they brilliantly turn the burden and aftermath of their inefficiency to consumers by a 4gb capped. a chinese saying “to tear down the bridge after crossing the river”

Now?whole can of worms opened by Maxis

Maxis being a large company on the KLSE has the responsibility to treat their customers ethically, internet is a basic need for education and communication. For them to - with one days notice - cut off the internet for thousands of users forcing them to pay excess amounts is disgusting.

They could of dealt with this in a fair and ethical manner, giving at least some beneficial notice to the consumer but alas they didnt. They screwed us all over knowing that no one can get a fixed line internet in 1 day.

Maybe contractually Maxis is correct in what they did but ethically they are a bunch of dicks who took advantage of us all when there was no need to, other than make extra money from desperate people who need internet to go about their every day life.

For what they have done to us three times this year we should not give up so easily, keep up the pressure complain, write in, call do what ever you can your effort will make a difference even it it is just a call.

i do agree that maybe refer to t & c, we might lose the case..but doing a business, is not only about that...they need to consider their reputation and name..so there is still possibility in win win situation rather than their name get bad in the public.. i already prepare that even nth can be change, or maxis agree to terminate the plan without penalty, or i stay till my contract end as coming soon or i pay for the penalty... so i am not too worry about anything..

i can read many ppl complain in many forum, and some of them gather the public for signature with YB... you may say it is useless or maxis will not even bother..but once go up to the newspaper or media, it is still not a nice promotion.. thats why i always believe no matter like you guy say wat genuine, cap ayam, or whatever.as long as you are the biz68 users, we should gather together and work together ..not fight among ourself..and for those none users, why should we bother them? we are doing our parts only... try it or do nth..we only have 2 choice now..try it, we still got little hope...fight among ourself and do nth, then prepare to get nth..

now i am only waiting for the outcome from mcmc and cfm.. so please fight for it but not fight among ourself...and i have been very fed up keep reading someone's comments and fighting in here..i feel like they are so childish...just ignore them please and keep fighting to the correct direction blush.gif

The seller is to be blamed, but when you sign up the plan, you should also very well know what you are jumping into, not just 'wa this plan so good I go sign this'. At modern day, there are so many TnC that are used by sellers/merchant at their benefit, so it has also become consumer's responsibility to understand what they would be facing. I am not blaming everyone that is asking stuff, it's just an example of potentially someone clueless and did not even do research asking some question that should be very obvious to all of us.

My main point of saying those, is because there are just too much user openly having discussion about quota, which since last year has already been a known sensitive topics. The senior members here have also warned about it, but before blacktubi closed the thread, there are so much discussion on that, and after reopening the topic, the same group of people are just having the same conversation. needless to say, now, we gotten too much attention and they are enforcing something. I am not blaming everyone here, but I am saying that a small herd killed the whole community

yes, I agree that we should fight, and preserve our right, they have all the rights to cap us at 3GB, or even 30GB as stated in their internal system, however, it's not ethical to just inform you in less then 24 hours before they implement that, at least inform users about the implementation a month ahead, and give options for us whether to continue or terminate or find some alternative, especially contracted users, since the plan differs so much now. I'm fine with capping to a more acceptable speed( 1mbps or 512kbps,), or dropping our 30GB quota to half, not merely 4GB, which seemed overpriced compared with so many other options out there. but I am thinking, whatever the outcome, I might as well just terminate mine since I have already gotten Unifi as my home broadband. I'll miss my bottomless portable hotspot tho sad.gif

For those who buy from seller, u guys first action is to find back ur seller. See what they saying?

Rage their post there so that everyone know the seller broke ur promise.

I signed using my company. I already knew it will coming to this since those seller keep promoting this openly in forum.

Before i sign the plan, i already knew maxis had the right to alter the TnC anytime. So even i not happy with this, but i more angry to those seller who promote this plan publicly in everyway.
What do u think maxis wanna alter this TnC?
Surely because their consumer plan drop dramatically!!!

So u guys please find back ur seller.
