I called 1919 and demanded to speak to a manager, once i spoke to the manager he told me to apply for more quota and he would refund it,

If you speak to a stupid manager demand to speak to the operations manage. Do not allow them to call you back just wait on the phone until they give you at least a refund.

I would be more understanding with the cap on quota if they gave us more than 12 hours notice, it takes about 2 weeks to get Time Fiber, Unifi etc installed.

I thought they would of learnt this from January when at that time most users didn't even get the sms notification. I am confident next time they mess us about they will give us at least 2 days notice...

My speed after the quota is finished is 20 kbps not 125 kbps as promised, don't forget to call maxis on 1919 and demand at least the pathetic speed that they advised

this is a war we need to attack them on all sides, use all their resources it is free to call 1919 but they have to pay for people to sit on there bum in turn making all their customers wait longer loosing the company respect. My advice keep calling, if you are bored or even having a walk to work call 1919 and complain. Try your best to do one call a day for about 1 hour, demand to speak to a manager and dont allow them to call you back.

Our attack will be more effective if we attack on all fronts!!!

If Maxis allow agents to act on their behalf they should be responsible for their actions

Well i dont care about that cap they impose, now my demand is that i get the 128 kbps which they throttle it to, which they will never achieve unless they increase the throttle speed so until i get a constant 128 kbps i will call and call until they fix this issue. I would suggest you all to do the same...

Biz/Cor are handle by AM not agent .. Those seller in lyn is not maxis agent for this type of business.

Look it is very simple if Maxis allow this to happen no matter if it is from an Maxis agent or whoever they are responsible, they where warned of this issue multiple times during the past year+ and they didn't stop the selling of this package.

Do not try to defend them they are 100% to blame.

They have made so much money by false advertising and now they just blame it on 3rd party sellers and you all believe this rubbish.

What a really good idea get people on 2 year contract with promises of unlimited data, then with one days notice apply a cap forcing users to pay up to 48rm for additional data as they have no option.

This possible but hard ..
We using on wireless device and various condition and signal strength will affect the speed as well

So.. the solution for Maxis is to increase the throttle...

In February 2012 they where warned about it and still it was sold for nearly 2 years, why did they not stop the selling of it. just because Maxis are so lazy they cant be bothered to verify every user means they are not 100% to blame.

Maxis should not allow this to happen they should of stopped the plan, added more procedures to registering an account etc

they are 100% to blame no matter what any one says.

Ignorance is not an excuse

They knew this plan was being falsely advertised as an unlimited plan and they did nothing for 2 years, seriously all the comments i read blaming the consumer of the 3rd party make me laugh. How can you people be fooled so easily.

It takes them 2 years to stop the selling of this plan, this is all a clever plan to make a lot of money, in January i wonder how many people where forced to purchase additional data, then again in August and again now.

If they where a trustworthy company they would of:

1 Stopped selling this package
2 Given users enough time to get an alternative ( fixed line takes about 2 weeks)

They screwed us all over 3 times in one year and you still defend these money grabbing *****

The same thing goes to credit card ..
Instead warn by government to banker, ppl still can get credit card more than 3 card with salary lower than 3k ..
When ppl can't pay , who to blame ?
Government also can't do anything and has to declare that person bankrupt

Because the TnC is there to protect them
Sad thing u guy din offer black and white of the brochure from your seller ..
Not to blame anyone , but that the fact
*
If some one acquires credit fraudulently it is fraud, if the banks cannot be bothered to verify the documents such as EPF, bank statements etc they are to blame.

If i apply to a plan which is advertised as unlimited i expect it to be unlimited this is a verbal contract between the consumer and Maxis, it doesn't matter it it was direct or not they still allowed this to happen and they are 100% to blame

I do post the package out in Few months back to warn ppl and again few days back , there is FUP or 3gb will be impose .. I bet none take it serious

It is very nice for you to take time out of your busy life trying to warn people unfortunately you do not work for Maxis even if you did you will not have enough power to do anything, so instead of wasting your warning people on a forum which only a small % of the 29.24 million people in Malaysia read go and do something useful with your like like reading a book

Seriously, i will fight till the end for the 30gb. Unlimited is a bonus but i will release them if 30gb is given back to me.
For those signed before 2013, i believe the dealer told you it was 3gb, but given unlimited until further notice. My friend signed at 2010 and that dealer told him this.

I signed at 2013, and the dealer was telling me 30gb, and unlimited until further notice.
I am thinking to convince my director to issue a company letter, for complaining this case.

Maxis being a large company on the KLSE has the responsibility to treat their customers ethically, internet is a basic need for education and communication. For them to - with one days notice - cut off the internet for thousands of users forcing them to pay excess amounts is disgusting.

They could of dealt with this in a fair and ethical manner, giving at least some beneficial notice to the consumer but alas they didnt. They screwed us all over knowing that no one can get a fixed line internet in 1 day.

Maybe contractually Maxis is correct in what they did but ethically they are a bunch of dicks who took advantage of us all when there was no need to, other than make extra money from desperate people who need internet to go about their every day life.

For what they have done to us three times this year we should not give up so easily, keep up the pressure complain, write in, call do what ever you can your effort will make a difference even it it is just a call.
