QUOTE(c1song @ Mar 2 2017, 05:44 PM) anyway, anyone experience issue with engine oil sensor? When i start my car, occasionally it showed "top up engine oil", about 1/10 times.. just checked with SC & they suggested to change the sensor which costs around rm350+-, and it takes 3 months to order Happens on and off.. dont really bother. Just restart the car. Occasionally will check oil..just in case.

QUOTE(teckxhenw @ Jan 22 2018, 09:29 AM) Hi all, i have sent my Peugeot 208 (5 doors) to Peugeot service centre for a about a year+ for servicing until now. As of now, another service is pending in a week. As the servicing cost in Peugeot service center is more costly as compared to third party workshops, i would like to ask if i should stick with Peugeot for the servicing work or can i send my car to a third party workshop for servicing at a lower cost. What benefits will i lose if i send my car to a third party workshop? Anyone's answer is greatly appreciated. Dont send outside if still under warranty. Will be very costly if warranty voided. Parts and repair quite expensive. They are very particular with service time/milage. Don't exceed the timing(forgot 1 or 2 weeks) and 500km milage. If need to claim any warranty they will check this list. If exceed or service outside, claim is rejected. This post has been edited by ultra_nyamuk: Jan 22 2018, 12:31 PM

QUOTE(pl95077 @ Apr 4 2018, 10:05 AM) Any recommendation expert to repair 208 out there? I had send my car to Pugs HQ, and also PJ service center, they all are not trusted (maybe i am in bad luck, the technician assigned to me is not skillful) Join Peugeot 208 club malaysia on fb. Got few options i think. For me in johor..no choice.

QUOTE(xxhunter @ Jun 24 2018, 12:12 PM) what do you mean in johor no choice? no third party service/official service in johor at all? Tried all the SC in johor. They are all the same. Third party..maybe they are but not sure which are the good ones.

QUOTE(fin8Ex @ Jun 13 2018, 03:46 PM) hi guys...currently puretech 1.2 is selling at 70k? good time to buy? Do some research first.its a good price to me. If havent bought yet..i would buy this. My brief search in groups..seems this 208 1.2t relatively low issues. my 2013 208 had a few issues... temp sensor, aircond issue, oil sensor issue, suspension (maybe wear n tear). Else its relatively problem free..

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Oct 19 2018, 10:16 PM) Hi guys. I’m considering a 2nd hand 208 2013 5 door. Forgive my noob ness as the actual car is not available for viewing. Is the size of the interior smaller, equal or bigger than the original myvi? I know the height is lower, but what about width of the driver and passenger seats? For example I consider my myvi able to seat normal adults comfortably in the rear, or enough for 3 for a lunch drive. Also, what about rear leg room? I upgraded from myvi to 208. Overall interior feel roomier on Myvi. I think rear passenger space bigger on Myvi. 208 bootspace is bigger. Driver n front seats far much more comfortable than Myvi. So its give and take space. 208 dimension is bigger but the body is thicker..so it feels smaller than myvi. But the driving exp is unmatched. On highway u wont sway when drive past lorries even at high speeds.

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Oct 21 2018, 09:13 PM) Thanks bro for us reply. I read some of ur posts here, so far change sensors n compressor? I wondering mine change compressor under warranty or not....Cos it's almost surely out of warranty. I did go for a sitting test on another 208 nearby and concur with your points on the internal cabin space vs myvi : give or take but more comfortable on the Pug. You'll need to check with Service Center i guess. Aircond parts we're under Peugeot recall so i assume most/all 208 in that batch was recalled to change aircond parts. Mine is 2013, first batch. Yeah, temp sensors went haywire.. but quite minor issue, after changed new one no more issue. They are very strict with warranty. CAnnot exceed service interval by 2 weeks (time) or 500km (milage). once exceed, consider void warranty. when i did some warranty claim, they checked EACH service i did if i've exceeded any limit or not.

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Nov 1 2018, 10:06 PM) Bro, my car show engine fault, need to service and the car was like jerking limping home. When I switch off the car it the fan was running for some time. Actually this is my first day wi5h the car man.... Can I guess is this the temperature sensor problem? I’m gonna have to fix it out of warranty, what poor luck.... Could be... temp went up ? temp sensor issue quite simple...and it doesn't affect the engine.. still smooth sailing.. only Aircond because temperature reading is different. Yours might be more serious issue.. better to SC check.

QUOTE(lee82gx @ Nov 1 2018, 10:29 PM) Temp is fine....not hot. I reading some posts from FB, now many ppl claim O2 sensor fault could also cause this. Tmr no service centre open in Perak...hai..... haha..tough luck ya. my oil level sensor is off for very long. low warning, sometimes its true(when measured dipstick) sometimes just false alarm. I have become numb and immune..so I don't bother any more...

QUOTE(TAN WENG @ Nov 2 2018, 06:48 AM) Wow tats worse than cheapest n basic perodua cars Previous gen 308T was a very problematic car. 208 for 5 years so far is ok. No major issues.. small issues like sensor prob, aircond recall. Other than that...drives well so far. Even current 308 THP very little complaints it seems.
