How much can you get by changing the filter?

My little pug seems to be drinking fuel like mad. The trip monitor said it is 17.2l/km O.O I have only driven it to work and back (10 minutes away from home) and only went on the highway once when driving my new car home from the showroom. Mileage about 180km at the moment

petronas petrol makes my engine vibrates..any experience?

Just a warning to all of you who are thinking of getting a 208 GTi spec (and maybe all Peugeot niche models like the RCZ):-

I had ordered a red GTi in late April and completed all necessary documentation and loan. In mid-May, I requested for change of colour to white and clearly asked that unit must be new unit and no display or demo stock. In late May, I was informed that a white GTi had been allocated. I was provided with a chassis number together with details on balance payments I need to make.

That same week in May when my unit was confirmed, there was also a roadshow by Peugeot held in 1 Utama. Many models were displayed there including my white GTi. How I know this? Because I checked the chassis number that was allocated to me to the unit on display (door panel) and it matched! I took photo evidence of this and made a complaint to the dealer because I specifically said I don't want display or demo units. The worst part was that all the interior door panels were scratched from peoples shoes and can see little kids pulling and pushing everything including the moon roof cover.

After a week of ding-dong, Nasim came back to say that they only willing to give a RM2,000 discount on the display unit allocated and polish the scratched panels (not even replace). No apologies given at all besides saying if want a new unit, wait another 4 months.

I'm so disappointed with the manner in which Nasim handle their sales, especially for their premium and niche units that I immediatly cancelled the order. The worst part was that although they refunded my deposit, they "makan" for number plate and runner fees to purchase the number plate (which I cannot even use because of their bluffing and cheating ways).

So a warning for everyone getting GTi or even RCZ units, better beware your car would have been molested by thousands of people in roadshows prior to delivery and complete lack of professionalism on Nasim's part.

My only concern is that when you start in the early morning and you press the accelerator, even if lightly, you will hear like something is loose in the exhaust. Then after you drive for 1 minute the sound goes away.

Was having tea with my friends earlier and he was commenting on how bad the 208 car and the aftermarket was. He shared stories on how his friends had trouble selling his 208 turbo.

would like to get some 208 turbo owners here for some real testimony bcos i was thinking of getting the 208 in the second hand car market

dunno why they want to sell so fast, less than 10,000km
i thought it should be a good hot hatch , less problem than 4 speed auto.

Wondering what is the maintenance cost or does it still have the common overheat problem? One is selling at RM98,888

Hi owners,

I am a potential owner. Saw the car two days ago in Glenmarie, and of course, I loved it as here I am making enquiries.

What I have been hearing are plenty of grouses about poor service by SA, which truth be told, I can live with (I own a Ford, after all). But technical issues can really spoil the ownership experience.

My queries:

1. Is the jerking gearbox a serious problem. I tested the car and it was evident. I am just wondering if the smart gearbox will "learn" your driving style and reduce the incidence.

2. Engine noise (within the cabin). Also apparent during test drive, but what are your experiences? Can this be solved with those sound dampener stickers on sale in most accessory shops?

So after changing the temp sensor, no more similar issue? Someone else mentioned before they have this sensor issue like 2 years ago post.

Parts availability, no issue? 

2 months for the parts! that is too long. A person may not have a car for the time waiting for the parts. Did they offer a courtesy car (unless it is just cosmetic problem)?

So 2 months cannot drive? Yet you still vouch for Peugeot ?   

how about the gear change, smooth? some complained on loud engine noise. how is it for you?
