Long story short: I'm back on the Intel Advanced-N 6235. Supposedly it's the card with the WORST driver issues but right now, it's the only one pushing 1.2MBps through my home WIFI - without ANY problems (on STOCK Win 8 drivers of course).

Stock Realtek/Azurewave - Disconnection issues. Single Band.
Killer 1202 - Connection instability. Disconnection issues. Dropouts. Timeouts. Bluetooth mouse problems. Just thankful I didn't buy this crap for full price.
Broadcom Dual-Band N + 4.0 BT - Damn thing didn't even start.

Granted, all WIFI problems come in 2 parts: a) Adapter Issues and b) Router Issues, and my router (TP-Link Gigabit Single Band Advanced N) isn't quite the best out there, but right now, the 6235 is surprisingly giving me the least grief.

Maybe later when I've upgraded my home router I'll give the Killer another chance. But right now, I'm simply surprised that it's "GAMING GRADE" when it can't even download anything for more than 3 minutes without disconnecting.

Nah, second hand from someone, it's cheap so WTH. From the looks of it, no real issue with the hardware though, it connects fine when it WANTS to. It's simply not compatible with my home router at the moment - it doesn't really like the Macs and the iPhones in the house either.

So keeping it for testing later when I get around to replacing the router.

Regarding your Killer 1202, mine disconnects once in awhile too but never during gaming or surfing. Only when its idle. LOL! For an Atheros product (now part of Qualcomm), never expected it to be that bad. Granted there is no 'Killer' hardware inside there except IP stack, QoS and proprietary optimization. I think the issue is in the driver side of things.

Feels like only LOL! Have to say like this otherwise Intel/MSI how to justify Haswell? :-p
By the way you have 32GB in 4x 8GB modules configuration right? I read every module you add into the system, you're adding 3-4W of consumption. Effectively cancelling out the advantage. HAHAHAHA!

Its definitely the driver or some service issues. I remember stock MSI drivers has the ability to turn off monitoring. With the latest driver, there is no option except disabling the services itself. But still disconnect once in awhile.

Anyway I just want to have the 5GHz feature because believe it or not, there's more than 30 Wi-Fi access point around my apartment. LOL! Its crazy! No use playing with Wi-Fi channels, they are all congested in 2.4GHz band.

Had the chance of playing around with GS70 during the MSI Gamer Gathering.. awesome piece of hardware

So it is safe to say that, it is not necessary to turn on cooler boost when playing any heavy games. But once the cpu temps really gets hot,only turn it on? 

The only thing I have from SS is the Siberia V2, and honestly it's not half bad, sound wise. BUT, at 300 for a basic set (don't get me started on the marked up "special editions"), the built is slightly lacking. Not the built "quality" mind you (it's screwed together quite well), it's just SOOO plasticky and doesn't really feel like a RM300 product.

They really should have at least used better, maybe even textured plastic. The glossy stuff they're using right now makes it feel cheap to the point that my Logitech G230 feels more like a RM300 headphone compared to the SV2.

The G230 doesn't sound even half as good as the SV2 though, and the retractable mic on the SV2 is sheer genius. And while it feels flimsy, the SV2 is undoubtedly more comfortable (except for the hot, sweaty pleather pads).

For other stuff, I dunno. For mouse I'm more a Razer guy, simply because nobody else makes a mouse like the Orochi. For mousepad I don't really buy into the whole "GAMING" hype and I just use a cheapo Followes pad.

A for the keyboard, that's just MSI NOT reinforcing the area beneath the keyboard enough. After all, Steel Series didn't build the keyboard, they just helped with design and stuff.

My GT70 seems ok. Rock solid. Doesn't feel like it would sink when pressed hard. Maybe I'm more gentle

This is the first time I'm using a 'Steelseries' branded keyboard. Never really bought into those gaming endorsed accessories. But I must say typing on the GT70 is really enjoyable. No 'shaky' keys and quiet. The last time I enjoyed such a keyboard was one from Siemens-Nixdorf. Man... thats a long long time ago.

Now I'm starting to think that the "bottleneck" issue is probably minor to SOME people. The GX did not get its fair share of praise. FC3 seems playable at ultra, and for the price, i'd say it's a win.
