Actually, how DO you transfer the F3 hidden partition to an SSD? Full disk imaging with Acronis?
*

By the way according to the MSI engineer, they can make it in such a way the MSI factory partition will remain in your now secondary HDD. But all the boot partitions will now reside in your new SSD in primary bay.

When you press F3, you can perform recovery as usual. Just that it will recover to your SSD. So it must be some insider tweaks. I decided not to proceed because its worth the money. I prefer to fall back to drive imaging recovery method. Because all my applications and settings are maintained.
*
oh i ask/requested the technician to put recovery on both my SSD and HDD.. just in case...

Just took delivery of some nice Samsung DD3L modules. biggrin.gif

No problem so far. Everything rock stable. Guess the machine really needs DDR3L.

Unseen, whats your max CPU temps where you're gaming? Mine went till 87C on gaming mode. Also my Sound Blaster Cinema app doesn't seem to remember the settings I made. After restart it went back to defaults. Strange. Is it same in your setup as well?
*
how much samsung L ram? i got my Crucial RM440 for 2x8GB 16GB L RAM
x
hmm i think ur notebook got Gremlin... lolz baptizes NB yet? blush.gif my Cinema seem to remember setting i set for it unless you plug external speaker/headphone... smile.gif seem to work like charms smile.gif

Yeah, not having a lot of positive energy with the laptop yet. LOL! But we're catching up. It'll be nice tongue.gif

So you're Cinema app remembers? I mean when you move the base slider, it'll remember after restart. Damn this is weird.

Wow... 70C max temps? With cooler boost on? Mine is without. I don't see signs of throttling when gaming. Except some micro stutter once in awhile. Still haven't solve this yet. Some say is the beta driver. GPU temperature hovering in the region of 60-65C which I think is quite good.
*
yes... need positive energy surround NB..lol this GT70 suppose be my temporary kinda waiting Asus G750JH smile.gif

x
yes.. hmm i need to recheck it... just sound really loud/clear during Gaming/music so don't really bother with it.. blush.gif

x
think go just average 66C cpu.. no turbo boost hate noise but i am in Air-cond ROOM temp 21-23C and Thermal paste IC diamond... 10 days ago... driver i use nvidia 311.84 from MSI download.. smile.gif

Ah you repaste the CPU already. I haven't done this yet. How did you remove the heatsinks considering they are not bridged together? My guess is to take both GPU+CPU heatsinks as a single big piece? I have some nice paste that I bought a year ago.

Here no aircond but natural one tongue.gif. Around 20C day time. But summer is going to be hot.
*
no i did not unauthorized repaste cpu/gpu... i watch it on **youtube is a suggestion smile.gif

hmm... should keep quiet... about it... sorry is not Corrosive"(wrong word ) it happen only when you in proper remove of thermal... then it become... let say IC Diamond have marco diamond dust even so in that form diamond is Sharp... so when you rub the IC Diamond the sharp edge of it scratch the surface of the chip but NO worried it wont damage it smile.gif unless you apply wait a day and rub it off then repeat it 1,000 time then you may damage the chip smile.gif so Chance of the ic diamond damage chip is 3 of 100 smile.gif

Yeah I actually googled. Not "corrosive" like the other "corrosive" paste, it's actually "abrasive".

And I'd say the chances of scratching something is definitely higher than 3/100 with IC Diamond. Doesn't make it a bad paste, but definitely not newbie friendly when removing it.
*
smile.gif yes "Abrasive"

Hmmm.. Probably the counter got reset by itself.
Or you might have open the Hardware Monitor after you ran 3DMark13.
It needs to be run before you run 3DMark13.
Coz I'm seeing the Powers Package max is only 6.01W, which means it isn't running at full load.

Still, even if those are idle temp, it is still a very good temperature compared to my W230ST.  thumbup.gif
*
haha mucho Gracia's ! yes it running while 3D mark is benching 3Dmark don't seem to stress my GT70... only get stress playing crysis3 6hour while surfing internet/ watching HD movie (setting is on 3 LCD include notebook)

Now I think I will stick to GE60 i7 gt750 or ge40 if budget not allow..
If budget allow.. GS70 brows.gif

btw.. GX60 with 16gb 1866 mhz ram will be enough to cover the bad APU performance in daily task n programming?
*
GE60 20E have baklit(blue only...) ask MR.storm88 if he can confirm this

x
yes.. improve. with ram upgrade must be 16GB 1866mhz ram

Edit: i would again recommend GX60 good buy if you want to GAMING under budget smile.gif price under RM4K

Lolol. I'm a honest recommender. If the GT60 comes out and it's good, I'll recommend that one wholeheartedly. But for now, for his specific needs (low heat, programming, around 4k) there's not really anything I'd REALLY recommend except for the GS70.

I is the no fanboi...  Bought my GE40 because it was perfect for my needs, warts and all.
*
hahaha GT60 is out and is awesome! but price is over RM4K... hmm sup with high demand low budget... people! lolz

x
don't lie! ur Biggest MSI FAN BOI!! on here!! pimping ur GE40! lookalike stealth jet Fighter or Apache heli tongue.gif
