Z bezel still ok, but not the Z1.

If waterproof need to sacrificed that much! I rather the phone is water resistance only.

some say the larger bezels is because of the larger battery

but i don't believe that. battery usually only contributes to thickness.

maybe the height as well, but since sony already know that why don't they just use a larger screen

No idea, this need ask the Sony designer.

Another thing! Why Sony only make the 16:9 ratio photo as 8MP ? This is something really funny!

The camera lens is 20.7MP which is 5248 x 3936 under 4:3 ratio.

But Sony put 8.3MP for 16:9 ratio which is 3840 x 2160

After counting, I notice Sony shall able to make the 16:9 ratio photo as 15.3MP as 15.3MP is just only 5220 x 2936 which still fit nicely and not over the lens capable of 20.7MP.

I had count and by right Sony shall capable to make the 16:9 ratio photo as 15.7MP as 15.7MP is just only 5280 x 2970 which still fit nicely and not over the lens capable of 20.7MP.

Lens is round. So 15MP sensor that is 16:9 ratio is same performance as 4:3 20.7MP.

Yalo!

I just edit, maximum shall be capable up to 15.3MP not 15.7MP.

But why Sony only put 8.3MP, this really does not make sense.

I believe plenty firmware already under test before final version is put in.

Really does not make sense Sony pick 8.3MP instead of 15:3MP for 16:9 ratio.

In this case, Sony are stupid enough, now nearly all sample photo comparison in 16:9 which only 8.3MP shot.

And their 20.7MP not feel like standard resolution also.

If reviewer are savvy enough, they should take 4:3 shot and crop it. sweat.gif

This is unnecessary, not much user will do this also.

Sony shall reconsider and change the MP in 16:9 ratio to 15.3MP.

Maybe can. Maybe cannot. Hahah... coz standard 16:9 resolution is standard. I think they need to follow
certain rules for HD 16:9 picture as camera company out of respect for the rules. laugh.gif

Else, some TV cannot display photo correctly. ohmy.gif laugh.gif sweat.gif
