Turn out you can log in to Facebook app, go to Message > Option > Pin to Wall > Voila - Facebook Chat  |

Soft reset will not cause any loss of apps, but hard reset will make you lose all your apps (and that means downloading & installing them again). Soft reset is like taking out your battery and putting it back in, done by pressing power/lock button and volume down together. |
