Like I said, WP8 OS itself is fine, the app works well when they are functioning, but most of the time they do not. Notification is a big issue. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't.

Not using Viber, but the last time I tried it, it was ok.

Thanks! it should be better than our current androids. Im looking more on the camera function and the lightness of the OS...not really using apps that much...only facebook, viber, kik messenger...others are extra.

True...WP itself is good, but the app quality sucks a lot. It is a chicken and egg problem. A phone platform needs quality app to success and WP lacks just that. App developer will not make quality app if not enough users onboard, and no users will on board if there is not enough quality apps. WP8 lacks quality, even the integrated chat does not work good, and I also heard some forum discussions about the notification issues actually came from microsoft's push servers. Microsoft definitely did something wrong if its own apps work better in other platforms, or they develop apps for other platforms first.

I am just a very casual phone user. I just need some basic games and social apps and it is enough. However, even the most basic social apps are not working well. Wechat just failed on me, LINE notifications also going crazy, facebook notifications are slow and non existence, like I say, the only app so far working good is whatsapp.
*

I actually kinda pity Microsoft situation. The OS GUI, smoothless itself is definitely miles better than the competition, but the lazy App developer is really pulling Microsoft down

Just keep in mind that with your fund to buy 925, you could have bought former flagship androids (S3 for example) which will serve you well with minimal lags.

After using WP8 for a year, I think that the you really need to love the OS in order to continue using it. There are way too many shortcomings from this OS and you can only justify yourself if you really love the OS.

My phone until now no problem at all.
whatsapp, wechat, facebook notification almost instant.
Lumia black. L1520.

I'm happy since change from 920. Battery drain too fast.

i love to be unique... and as far as i can see it has a good build quality. as long as i can call, text, use facebook and get some decent shots without carrying my dslr...id be fine.

though im still torn between getting it or a good android...as u put it. smile.gif

well jus wanna share a fresh experience, after updating to BLACK OTA, all the apps seems starting to work kinda weird, not that to say they're bad but it did behave like something's wrong....

after tolerating notification delay for almost 5 days after BLACK, i decided to backup and do a clean update via NSU and thus downloaded the file 1.5 Gb, after reupdating it work well once again, instant IM notifications (watsapp, wechat, LINE), battery draining was never so minimal, overnight with 2g+wifi all night oni cost 3% battery, page switching etc. was fater thn OTA update mayb cos of some system files overiding or corruption, it beats me bout clean update works like a charm...

so if anyone was experiencing issues after OTA i suggest to try backup and clean update...

to all users..

does ur camera still produces the same quality since day 1 ?

my friend says his 920's image quality seemed deteriorated, maybe its because of the occasional overheating of daily usage, as the processor is fixed next to the camera module.

letting go my L920 is a must because I want to change to another WP device (which is Nokia). It's not practical to have both phones that use the same OS. I already owned HTC One.

Currently studying in Jordan, I can sell it at least RM900, higher than Malaysia because Jordanian loves to use Nokia than any other smartphones (Middle East is one of the most well sold WP). Delaying to sell it would eventually decreasing the price.
