battery cant last so many years, unless u buy for collection only

Well, 920 is cheap now and many people are picking one up though, but im not a fan of purchasing last year's models.

Wait for 1320  My estimated price is 1200 - and yet almost same spec as 920, only camera is lousier (and 8GB + card slot). S'pore is getting it already so it shouldnt be long, unless u dun want 6 inches lol. Not to mention, battery 3400mAh, godlike for a duo core phone.

I would wait for 1020's successor; it's slow (the general rule, dun buy 1st generation products - 808PV not counted since it's not windows phone). But, if screen not at least 5 inches, i rather get 1520's upgrade.

To me, 920 is a 3rd gen to the 900 (and 800); i waited for windows phone 8, and made the right decision (imagine buying 900, 6 months later, u find out it's no longer supported). The reason why i see it this way, is that these 3 are flagship models (1020 and 808 are not flagships to me, they are niche models, catering a group of enthusiasts where camera is above everything to them).

920 didnt really have anything that is completely new (other than OIS) so chances are, it is less likely to have performance problems, or issues which you'd attribute to prototype/first generation stuff - poor optimization and buggy software. It's both personal intuition and knowledge from following tech news all these years; i was skeptical a duo core processor can handle that camera when 1020's specs were leaked.

Since i picked up 920 at launch day, by this year end im just in time again for a 2-year cycle upgrade - windows phone will be in 8.1 with more new features (that, if added to duo core phones, may slow them down a bit, or maybe, advanced features are not added), right on timing.

Despite its being an older generation compare to S4, Note3, Nexus 5 and etc but i find that this phone is still a beast. Of course i am sadden by its "price drop".  I pre-ordered the phone at 1999, while Lumia 900 was selling at 1400. But now the new Lumia selling for 1999 but Lumia 920 just selling for 1000-1100 with wireless charger. The pricing does not make sense!

Then secondly is the update. Tons of updates are available as checked in wpcentral.com but most of them do not come to Malaysia. Official updates that is. I was a big support for Lumia 920 when it was first launched. I bought one for myself and another for my dad. Mine still work perfectly but my dad's one entered factory twice, and the same symptom is appearing and just waiting the phone dies. (1-year warranty over)

Its not like i am an Lumia-anti but i hope the after service, and maintenance gets better. Slow updates and massive price drops are two most important features of an item. Well you see, i not yet mention the applications availability for windows 8.

Hopefully cracking/rooting and jailbreaking comes quickly..

1st, is ur phone new or used? if new u nid to give the battery at least a week time (roughly 5~7 charges) to allow it to preform as it may.

secondly, were u on data roaming? if yes thn is any of ur apps is not shut down completely? u can check them at setting -> swipe left and select background apps.

if non of these help, try restart ur phone manually, switch it off for at least 10sec thn switch it back on.
