Preve is big. It is as big as D segment car.
If got 70k to spent, FC is the concernt, i think jazz CKD is the best. Else, saga flx 1.6. |

QUOTE(Dwango @ Aug 23 2013, 09:00 AM) FC between the 3 cars won't be too much if you know how to control your pedal. Perhaps the Saga 1.6 FC is slightly higher, but not by much. If you are concerned on FC then you may consider Saga 1.3. The Mirage FC is better, only slightly, because it is a very small and light car. Its kerb weight is only 850kg. In terms of safety and stability wise the Mirage will lose to Saga which is more than 200kg heavier. The reason why the Saga is more suitable for highway drive with better stability on the highways. wrongIf you just want a cute and sexy looking car like Barbie doll, then maybe Mirage will only suit you. But to me, it isn't that sexy anyway. A bit too small. It depends on what you want. Judging on the number of Mirage on the road I expect 2nd hand value would be poor later on too. if u know how to control your pedal...a myvi would be at best(highway) around 14KM/L BUT for a mirage, if u drive it like normally(sometime rev 50% city 50% highway)...u still get around 18KM/L IF u like the 1st case know how to control your pedal...the advertised 21KM/L is actually beatable...u can actually go over that....thats hybrid territory already so saga and myvi...FC about the same but can't compare to mirage...mirage is way above trust me...even i'm truly amaze on the mirage FC another reason, mirage > myvi...it a well design car at least if u corner fast, it won't flip over and its a pretty safe car This post has been edited by MR_alien: Aug 23 2013, 11:30 AM |

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Aug 23 2013, 11:29 AM) wrong What wrong? If you want to get into specifics, even if the Mirage's FC is good, how much difference would it cost to pump in petrol in a month between the Myvi and Saga? That would be dependent on how much is the mileage that one travels. On average traveling distance, I would not expect the difference to be more than RM100 a month. That sum of money, to me is a small difference. Most small economic vehicles in the range of 1.3-litres, the FC wouldn't be too great. if u know how to control your pedal...a myvi would be at best(highway) around 14KM/L BUT for a mirage, if u drive it like normally(sometime rev 50% city 50% highway)...u still get around 18KM/L IF u like the 1st case know how to control your pedal...the advertised 21KM/L is actually beatable...u can actually go over that....thats hybrid territory already so saga and myvi...FC about the same but can't compare to mirage...mirage is way above trust me...even i'm truly amaze on the mirage FC another reason, mirage > myvi...it a well design car at least if u corner fast, it won't flip over and its a pretty safe car If you compare a 1.3-litre vehicle with a 2.0-litre mid-sized sedan, then only the difference in FC/cost of fuel would be great, say a difference of RM200-300 of petrol per month, which is again dependent on the traveling distance. In summary, although the Mirage may be more fuel efficient than both Myvi and Saga, I disagree that it is "way above". Translate the FC into ringgit, it may just come up to RM50-100 extra per month. To some people that may be a lot but to me it's not that much. If one does not travel too much, then the difference in cost may be less than RM50/month. |

If one does not travel too much, then the difference in cost may be less than RM50/month. in my case, since i own both saga BLM and mirage when i'm on mirage(travelling the same distance)..my RM30-40 can last for 2 weeks but when i drive my saga BLM back(same distance and i'm one of those owner that gets good FC out of it)....1 week driving it...i already need to pump in RM30-40 which is almost double if driven daily, it makes a huge difference...u can ask mirage owner..they can vouch this car's FC is way above...this car's FC is within hybrid territory not to mention, this is the 1st car i ever drive that it never fill in fully...when i saw the meter, it already needs RM40 the pump somehow trips at RM38.XX....80% of the time, it never reach the point |

QUOTE(Leo the Lion @ Aug 23 2013, 09:44 AM) Not really la. The loan for Mirage is pretty affordable for me. QUOTE(iskazulka @ Aug 23 2013, 09:50 AM) she's richfag actully you dunno one. Richfag your head. fruitie you just tell them what's the deeper consideration and the results of you choosing saga, easier for TS to consider. I choose Saga because of the size and still no regret for now. Other technical stuff I don't know la. Haha. I just know it brings me to wherever I want. i personally drive a flx Se for the last 6 months, previously a myvi driver since 2006 and drives my dad's mirage 90% of the time to bring him around (80yo eyes cant see very good but he insisted on buying the mirage for the looks LOL).
as the usage are only for going to work and going back to malacca twice a month, i think best bet would be myvi. later on u get married get bigger/better car la. mirage fc wayyy better but i dont it is worth the price tag atleast for a first car fc mirage>myvi>saga(saga city drive very bad fc) hway driving saga>myvi>mirage(u really dont wont a lorry/bus to pass u. like really flying d) parking mirage>myvi>saga(cant cucuk or steal parking easily for the saga lol) features saga=myvi>mirage(the ones i think important la) maintainance mirage>myvi>saga(although i find that it depends more towards which SC u go to) clueless female driver friendliness mirage>myvi>saga looks mirage>saga>myvi(looks good enough a female exec) safety saga>myvi>mirage(my biggest problem with the mirage was it is like driving a kelisa. inherent becoz of the small size. lorries pass u also can shake severely. myvi too although not as much). so yeah if i were you myvi would be the best choice for the time being although i kinda hated that car now LOL |

QUOTE(DoomHammer @ Aug 20 2013, 06:22 PM) The choice you make depends on your budget basically. mirage is better for Ron 95 or Ron 97?I own a Mirage as my second car. Auto full spec (not the sport version). Fuel consumption is superb. Some people bashed this car for its build and material quality, fit and finish etc. but in my opinion they are good. I think better than Prius C. Noise: Sound proofing is good. Most noise is coming from the CVT which is similar to other CVT car such as grand livina, proton preve. The sound proofing is better than my Honda Stream RN5. Suspension: soft setup for comfort drive. Due to this, there is body roll during cornering. Note that this is an eco car, it is not meant to be drive fast. Handling is good. CVT characteristic: Good pick-up when going uphill (in D). Rubberband effect which is normal for all CVT -feel difficult to accelerate after slowed down (after high speed). I have drived Nissan X-gear, Preve... same character. Comfortable seat: better than myvi. Space: Mirage is not that small. Myvi looks bigger because of the big glass window and the square shape. Myvi is only slightly bigger. I think Mirage boot space design is better than Myvi. Maintenance: Myvi; more frequent visit to Service center because have to service every 5000km. Mirage; service every 10000km. So save time and money. Note that time is more precious than money he he he. I am a happy owner of Mirage, if you opted for Mirage please don't buy the Sport version. Not worth it. Just go for the Auto full spec only. |

To qualify as eco car it is not just the fuel saving engine, but also meets UNECE R94/95 impact standards too. |
