I know a lot of this type of poll have been created in this forum.

After countless of reading and googling.. I still can't make up my mind.

Need your help from sifus2 here..

My problem.. I've tested drive all the car in the option. I like Mirage more. Planning to take Mirage sport, price about rm70k.

But suddenly I've no confidence to take it as for the sake of value of money... the price is quite not reasonable for a small car.

Try to avoid myvi because seen a lot on the road nowadays. But if no choice.. I'll take it.

What I'm looking:
Budget below rm70k
Small Car
Good fuel consumption
Easy maintenance
Nice look

Really appreciate if you could respond. Btw.. I'm a young female executive. Will using the car mostly for short distance and twice a month to drive from kl to malacca.

saga FLX SE = power, handling
myvi = good FC, bad handling
mirage = superior/godly FC, handling not bad but not as good as saga

Good fuel consumption = easily mirage
Easy maintenance = about the same
Nice look = depends on personal preference

if your main objective is overall advantage thn its saga FLX SE...its powerful, cheap, handles well but FC lose to the other 2
if your main concern is FC, mirage wins ALL

If you want to go for cuteness and looks, then I guess die-die also you want Mirage. But for RM70k, you can get better performance for the price. Considering you go back to Melaka twice a month, safety and stability on the highways is important too. Not to say Mirage isn't suitable (even the cheapest car in Malaysia will get you from KL to Melaka and vice versa), but on the highways larger and heavier cars are usually more desirable than smaller and lighter cars for added safety and stability.

There is a reason why there are many Myvis on the road when compared to the Mirage. Out of 20 Myvi perhaps we can only see 1 Mirage. If you want exclusivity, then no harm going for the Mirage. Personally I feel the Mirage is too small, but if you dig the size and exclusiveness of the car then by all means go for it. It's your money at the end of the day.

Personally if I travel long distance quite oftenly, I wouldn't choose the Mirage, something bigger (although not so fuel efficient) would be more appropriate.

Out of the 3 cars, I will choose the Saga. But if you are thinking about plonking RM70k for the Mirage, I'd rather take Preve Turbo for RM69k.

If you want to go for cute looks, the I guess you will still want Mirage.

The latest Mitsubishi mirage is a 5 star ancap car. Perhaps that may influence your decision.

If you want value, always Perodua and Proton would come out on top

Thank you so much! you, you read my mind. I like the look of mitsubushi mirage. Space is not my main issue because I'm a single woman. Actually prefer small car for easier parking.

Other than mirage.. I'll consider Saga FLX. Is the fuel consumption really bad as mentioned by some forumer in lowyat?

mirage quality also very sux... sit in my fren new mirage, manual, the engine sound is so loud even i seat at the back. then the door handle, when i wan to close the door, i pull the handle, the handle literally came half off!! wtf i realized the whole car is use clip one.. no screw.. even the middle console panel to the gearbox place, the thing also very flimsy, leg touch touch can move it edi. avoid mirage unless FC is very critical.

i vote for saga se, but please test drive 1st because you may not like the stiff ride. indeed the saga handling is good compare to other. its good for long distance. since you have 70k budget i recommend preve cfe. its has balance between comfort, safety and handling. but of course need to sacrifice fuel for bigger car.

if you want small and cute car, try consider hyundai i10, has huge discount now. its also more comfort than saga and myvi. also fun to drive.

for flx SE 1.6 fuel consumption is more or less like this ;
full tank ron95= rm60
full tank can go easily around 400++km with normal driving.

*Reminder
take the Saga FLX SE 1.6, if the normal FL 1.6 fc is a bit worse.

You should really up your budget a little, take a city or Jazz CKD. On everyway it will be a better ride, plus you will get rock solid resale value.

For longer term, a better bet. It's outside the shortlisted ones, and above your budget, but you need to think harder, save just a bit more for a better car.
