Remember this, CM QF Rapid and Trigger are standard (iinm, the new XT also standard)

Apart from that all other CM boards are non standard.

I use Vaseline, confirm easy to get.

But it tend to dry out really very fast though...

Butthurts proof.

The effect is ok, but it got dried out very fast. So for long term, proper lubricants are more suitable.

Ya, standard layout you easier to find replacement next time.

Among trigger and zero shine, I will suggest trigger. The board is solid (go youtube cm channel, it is Lamborghini and truck proof). It is also a costar made board.

If you don't need the backlit, then go for rosewill rk9000.

Go for ONI if you want a smaller keyboard and better stock keycaps.

Oni better. No need to find replacement. And plain simple... Or wait for Filco... I will wait Filco...

Filco's full size 104 and tkl 87 kb all standard layout.

Full sized Filco cost RM359 last promotion. Not sure TKL will be cheaper or sell at RM4xx price range later because many people looking to get that board. The RM4xx is the common price IINM. What customize? Keycaps? Oni is standard... And ready for LED likely, no one ever try that yet. You can try after warranty end. LED mod shouldn't be expensive...

Filco is a simple kb. No LED-mod, no media button. Just simply a keyboard with stock ABS keycaps. Cheapest PBT from Taobao maybe RM150? So, even if the kb RM359, + RM150, the total cost will be RM509. (Haven't realized my self yet).

Or get Keycool. Stock PBT keycaps, extra keycaps, and less than RM200. Downside, no warranty as import from China. My idea is when you newly join mech kb and tight budget, get a kb with long usage keycaps. Unless if you have a lot of money, you can buy any keycaps you're interested with.

It looks much shinier than the Zero counterpart "the backlit"

i am user of CM QF TK. and i dont find any problem with the layout apart of finding a full set keycap mod for it... usually u still able to mod on the 37 key... then get some custom spacebar or something....

If u dont wan backlit... maybe the CM QFR is a good choice thou... or if u dont mind MIC.... keycool sound promising to me and is very cheap : )

What are the options I should choose? The owner of this keycap said it's a classic, yet I see it looks like a modern layout (from WASD layout guideline). Strange.
