If you got extra budget, then can try filco. If you want to try out pbt keycaps, then kbt ONI. Both at around rm350.

You can simply google for filco, they are among the legends in mech kb. For ONI, it is a clone keyboard made based on filco (by different oem), but offering more features (backlit, pbt, directional USB cable and so on).

Hey peeps!

Has anyone had experience with buckling spring keyboards and know where to get them like a local distributor? I want one. Also you can talk about your experiences with it. I type a lot and FPS game a lot as well. Currently I got me a CM Storm Quickfire Rapid keyboard and previously a Steelserie 6GV2.

We don't really like to suggest keyboards with non standard layout or spacebar size, cause it will be a pain in ass to find replacement and haunt you forever.

Though, if you really still think backlit > replacement keycaps, then go ahead for tk, it should be the cheapest tkl you can find locally.

I think you might be completely confused with what i said.

Non standard layout means oddities in the layout from typical us ansi, normally we count it non standard when the spacebar is t 6.25x in size.

Yar backlit keyboard harder find replacement.

Tkl = tenkeyless

Generally, almost all mainstream gaming brands are having nonstandard layout.

The exception only cm quickfire rapid and trigger.

That's not rapid, that is TK.

Shine2 is fine, but shine3 just around the corner, why don't wait for it instead?

CM Quickfire TK is'nt standard layout also. As long as you not plan to replace the keycaps, then non standard layout wont bother at all. Since TK still a solid keyboard imo.

Oni is mx brown. If want blue, get CM QFR blue switch.

ABS keycaps will succumb to shining effect after a period of use.
even when it's shining, still can use lah, just that the texture is really smooth and not nice to look at since the shine effect is uneven.

i dun think u should be put off by that incidents reported here since most of us here were not aware of that kind of issue rosewill has with their boards. so most likely its coincidence that 2-3 of our members here had or heard bad experience about it.

also one of the issue arises because there was no stock left and the user don't want to wait (if i recall correctly haha!)

about almost RM100 more than RK9000 and it has backlit

Kbt oni only have mx brown. Stock pbt keycaps. At least can stand long time than abs. Abs tend to get shiny after quite time. Even if your kbt ono keycaps get faded, just simply live with a blank pbt.nor get a replacement keycaps.

Remember this, CM QF Rapid and Trigger are standard (iinm, the new XT also standard)

Apart from that all other CM boards are non standard.

Among trigger and zero shine, I will suggest trigger. The board is solid (go youtube cm channel, it is Lamborghini and truck proof). It is also a costar made board.

If you don't need the backlit, then go for rosewill rk9000.

Go for ONI if you want a smaller keyboard and better stock keycaps.

Oni better. No need to find replacement. And plain simple... Or wait for Filco... I will wait Filco...
