Bottom line is charge current.. it has the highest risk in frying any electronic hardware when condition is wrong. 

USB connectors are known to be flaky and making bad or poor contacts means higher current being pump into the system to keep things going.  I will not go into typical reconstruction of a failure but they are your highest bet to cause problems.  It becomes worst when connectors are tiny.  Over time.. it will hit is MTBF and you will increase the risk of roasting your camera.

For a very good charger for anything above 3.7 volts cells (ie 1 cell = 3.7V..  most are 2 cells), it is best to have a charger that will do balance charging.. ie the battery will have ability for you to individually access each of the cell independently and charge them individually until they are all the same voltage.

Anyway,... NEX-6 16-50 Kit lens, 20 seconds exposure with CPL filter. Taken last month.

5. Just get a 3rd party battery NP-FW50. Depends on the brand it can be between RM30 to RM80. They are as good as the genuine one but cost significantly less.

I bought a few variation, all can use the original charger to charge or charge in the camera (Nex 6).

Then future all spare battery you just have to buy back 3rd party battery in order for to fully utilize your 3rd party charger.

Already paid then forget about it lor. Don't calculate lor. Keep shooting!

I am a noobie when it comes to camera and the last camera i bought was a point and shoot. My sis in law and friend had a nex-3 and it produced very stunning result.

I am going on a trip to europe and I am hoping that I can take some pictures of my memories there. I am interested in a Sony Alpha camera. Anyone got any suggestions? Should I go for a A5000, Nex-6 or A6000? What's the difference? I have no idea how to play with exposure, WB etc.
Would it be better for me to go back to a point and shoot camera?

Would appreciate if anyone can give me some pointers. Thanks!

why so soft? did you encounter any water vapour or condensation?

I thought the glow around the border is caused by condensation also, happened to me before. It will some how diffuse everything.

for that question sadly i have no answer for you since i never used non-emount on my nex before. Depends on how you want your picture to look if you want to use software. Try troubleshooting one by one starting from the adapter you used perhaps. Just my 2 cents
