Well then its weird cause few pages back I recalled that someone wrote US/Japan set LTE can't be used here.
I found some interesting comments during I search in Google.

Reading on XDA forums that there will be two Nexus 5 released: D821 for Asia/Europe and D820 for North America. Looks like only the D821 will be compatible with Japanese LTE networks (unless Softbank's band 41 has wide coverage, which is included on the D820).
This is bad news for anyone wanting to buy a Nexus 5 in America and bring it to Japan...
D820: LTE bands 2/4/5/17/25/26/41
D821: LTE B1, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20

If I go to the Google Play store with a Japanese IP address (at home) it tells me this:
https://play.google.com/store/devices/detai...us_5_black_32gbネットワーク
2G/3G/4G LTE
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
WCDMA: 対応バンド: 1/2/4/5/6/8
LTE: 対応バンド: 1/3/5/7/8/20
If I refresh with an American IP address (work VPN) it tells me that:
https://play.google.com/store/devices/detai...us_5_black_32gbNetwork
2G/3G/4G LTE
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41
Supposedly these are the LTE bands used by Japanese carriers:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networksau (KDDI)- 1, 11, 18, 28
SoftBank- 1, 8, 9, 11, 28, 41, 42
NTT (DoCoMo)- 1, 3 (Limited areas), 19, 21, 28
Looks like the Japanese version has support for bands 3 (docomo?) and 8 (softbank?) that the US one doesn't. But the US one has band 19 (docomo?) and 41 (softbank?). I wonder if either one would work fine here with LTE networks then.
The Japanese version is also more expensive.
