I don't think so. Unifi comes in VIP format... meaning Video, Internet & Phone. Need to subscribe to minimum a package for Video.

It's the same as Astro...need to subscribe to at least a minimum package. Gave up 15 years ago.

I also want to pay for Internet only. Playing live Xbox1 multiplayer online game daily. Who needs to watch Unifi videos. Also who wants house phone nowadays. Almost all Unifi videos can download from Internet to watch... up to 1080p quality. I am paying around RM200 monthly for 30mbps Jumbo Pack. If can I only pay for Internet only which will cut down my monthly payment tremendously.

With high speed Unifi can watch live EPL, la liga, champion league etc on HD free...the wonders of the Internet!

r u sure?

hypptv with stb is 1080i for some channels, sd for others.

hyppewhere with app is only sd, i think.

on a small screen, looks good but if u cast it on tv or use app, sd only.

If still within the one year warranty, you can call and ask for a replacement.. Else, TM charges a fee to replace the older box. If you are contract free, there's the usual terminate and reapply strategy.. They should supply the new box during installation.

I think you still able to do replacement even through your set up box warranty is over.
However this replacement only applicable for those customer don't have tied any contract.
So if you want to do for the replacement devices, then your account will tied your contract again (meaning renew contract additional 2 years with same monthly package).

That's really troublesome.. no customization one..
The house phone sometimes it's useful.. ONLY Focus call TM 100 complain them if your internet has some trouble.. (Free of charge)
If you use mobile call to TM 100, high call rate charges will apply.. (Except for Webe mobile plan)

However the problem is the Hypptv, my house don't have big screen TV display.. Nowadays use ipad or laptop watch movie. Who gonna to use this TV big screen to watch movies? (Some-more TV not cheap at all... shocking.gif ) Unless you wanna to create home theater/projectors, that is another story.. rolleyes.gif

That one the Jumbo pack seems like no much channels at all, semi-ROJAK TV same as Asstro..

In this case , isit worthwhile upgrading the huawei brand device Or top up a bit more and get other android box available on the market ?

It's depend on you, your risk and your budget..

If you think buy android box cost too high (lump sum pay one-time off for android box), then go ahead upgrade huawei brand.. (renew contract applied - Pls check with TM careline)

However if you upgrade the huawei brand, I think you can do some DIY for software...
Check it at another thread.

After you check this huawei brand n feel complicated for the software (takut mati take the risk bangwall.gif ), then go ahead android box (you are free for the contract from TM bruce.gif )

Hi sifus,
I had installed HyppTV app (both phone and tablet versions via Play store) on my Zenfone 2, but only a black screen appears and I can't even exit from it by pressing Back. Is there a fix for this?

Also, any idea if HyypTV can be available on Chromecast?

hmm.gif Probably an incompatibility issue.. Most get that same issue.. I can't get it to work on a Nexus 10 too.. Perhaps, you could seek out and install older versions? Might get lucky.

AFAIK, there isn't a dedicated Hypptv Chromecast app.

I had stopped my Unifi hence no more HyppTV stb. But my kids love Cbeebes and NickJr, so I had to look for alternatives.
I hear that Samsung TVs now have HyppTV app on their smart tv, but mine TV is older model and does not support that.

Unfortunately, it is so... Perhaps its time to upgrade the TV or get an Android box that supports the Hypptv app. The latter is a cheaper option. Don't expect HD quality streaming though..

Look like the app recognizes you are making an HDMI connection and refuses to output the signals. Need to find a way of masking that HDMI connection and tricking it into thinking its sending video to the phone screen. Unfortunately, I haven't personally encountered this.. So Google a solution and or call TM for assistance.

I think you just need to upgrade instead of cancelling and reapply. Are you on unifi/streamyx or just applying the hypptv package seperately?
